Try setting you amp to some crunchy tone, and then crank your pedal to the max and use it during the chorus. It really needs to be crazy and uncontrollable. Other than that, good job.

I think you're talking about the WOOOSSHHH & Screaming synth effect during the chorus. Actually this is an extra effect added afterwards, I don't think it was some effect used directly on the guitar.
