Acutally I put my cat on there because she was literally freaking out. Off camera I pointed to my brother and told him, when they act like its bad... you know its bad. But I never leave my pets behind :)
either will I. I have a cat also and he tells me when there is a storm. I have a leash and harness to put on him to keep him in the bathroom with me during a tornado.
weather radios of any model are best devices that warn anybody of any weather hazard. I live in Santa Maria, California and we had 2 EF0 tornadoes, one in December of 2007 and another in January of 2009, that passed by close to the city. it is uncommon for a tornado of any strength to come close to the city because of the marine weather. there are no sirens in the city and the tornadoes happened during the night and my weather radio had alerted me of the tornadoes.
How can you live with tornadoes! seriously! you seemed so calm! and all those loud sirens and warnings, seriously, that must have been scary! how were you so calm?
To be quite honest with you... I really don't know how I stayed that calm heh. I just felt like panicing was the last thing I wanted to do. But when it finally hit... I was a little shaken.
I get the weirdest feeling we're going to have a bad spring this year...

Yes, I have a Midland Public Alert WR-100 weather radio. I love it, woke me up a few times at night and warned me of a few incoming storms.

Holy crap hearing the wind howl the way it did must give everyone the shivers. It sounds like the tornado was pretty close.

Thank you! Wow talk about a crazy night... I always love watching storms but in all honesty, I think I lost a nerve or two that night.
Something about that storm.... just made me feel so uneasy.
And the Federal 2001... this one in the video you hear is literally just 800 feet away from my house. Made for one creepy night heh.
