This is very good. Know the edition with Gruberova but dont like that edition... I love Edita, but that editon is so empty... no emotions. This one is fantastic!

I wish theatres staged these less known operas more often, there is some beautiful music. I like the tenor by the way!!

I saw Jorge Lopez-Yanez in Barbiere di Siviglia with Ruth Ann Swenson, they were great together.

When did you see them in Barber? Is there a recording?

It was in Cincinnati, in either 2004 or 2005. I don't have a recording, but it was a really enjoyable evening :)

I never heard Jorge live but he sounds really good! Has Ruth Ann sung Maria di Rohan, as far as you know?

As with most singers Jorge is best heard live, he has a very sweet timber not always captured on recordings. As for Ruth Ann, she has not sung Maria di Rohan, but I would think it to be a good vocal fit for her. I really hope Ruth gets back to singing more. I know she has some Lucia's coming up in Berlin!
