    /watch?v=PwpRKW01acE&feature=autoplay&list=LL-M9WG94R8TM-95OIjdlTEg&lf=plpp_video&playnext=1

  • Mistery Train!

  • Carl Perkins was a legend in his own right but nowhere near better than Elvis not sure what you smokin.

  • very very good, !!! this is rock and roll!!! kids.

  • This television broadcast was made in 1957 on Tex Ritters Ranch Party Show which was filmed in California. Carl and his band performed 4-other songs on this show as well. Also, this show was not done live, but filmed for broadcast at a latter date and the audiance you see is just stock footage used for the broadcast. Go cat go.......

  • yeah

  • damn right

  • Groovy drum shuffle!

  • Sam knew how to pick 'em.

  • the Perkins Brothers Band :Jay, Clayton & Carl with 'Fluke' on drums..brilliant

  • Tha Beatles got me into these cats.

  • the best

  • That drummer's groove is cooler than cool!

  • When Carl and Elvis started touring together, Carl said that he was more popular than Elvis which he didn't understand because Elvis was better looking than him.

In my opinion, one of the top three founders of Rock and Roll. Others two are Little Richard and Chuck Berry.

  • For whatever its worth: I heard a compilation of how Matchbox developed over many decades. It was almost always sung at a way slower beat;bluesy really. Perkiins juiced it up dramatically and its by far my favorite version...I guess Im just naturally high strung..lol

  • IF IT WAS ONLY AN AUDIO ID SWEAR IT WAS A BLACK MAN SINGING(I mean that as a compliment)

  • @stuart1648 sounds like a southern boy to me there's not all that much difference after all they both came from the South

  • Descobri a América, só hj viro fã absoluto de Carl, genial! Fã club e tenho 51 years!...

  • THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN BY UNWASHED, STICKY, BLIND TATER, BUCKSKIN, TOOTHLESS, HAM-BONE, HAM-HOCK, SNAKE-EYED SILVER BELLY AND THEN STOLE BY THE RYTHYMLESS HONKIES WHO FURTHER PREVERTED IT BY SINGING IT AND SHAKING ONE LEG EVERY 40TH BEAT - NO WONDER BLACK FOLKS HATE WHITE FOLKS!

  • @jehovahuponyou yea and were proud

  • @sonnydevaney - VERY PROUD INDEED!

  • @jehovahuponyou Ha Ha Ha Ha. man, you are funny.

  • @jehovahuponyou

if you think Carl Perkins did not have rhythm..you are not a musician...and who gives you the right to speak for all black people??/ Black people do not hate white people....ONLY YOU DO!

  • @ZAPDUNGAA - Carl Perkins had a knee-jerk and at times he jerked to the right beat - even a blind nigger finds a watermelon every once in a while, or a blind white-trash a gallon of meth, or a Mexican the Rio Grand.

I speak for ALL decent, upstanding, intelligent, good people - which means you must speak for yourself, now fuck off with your poor musical taste and your tin ear.

    :^)

  • @jehovahuponyou

Carl Perkins might have had a knee-jerk...but you are just a plain JERK....

And if you don't like Carl Perkins, why are you listening to him?

oh btw...I got some blue suede shoes that need a shoe shine...

wanna make a few extra bucks?... :))

  • @ZAPDUNGAA - I never said I didn't like him, I just said he had no good ole black man's timing - and BTW, you can't shine no damn suede leather!

    ROFL!

  • @jehovahuponyou

    i WAS JUST JOKING....

  • @ZAPDUNGAA - NO YOU WASN'T - you thought you could shine suede shoes - ROFL!

    :^)

  • @jehovahuponyou -you obviously don't understand the way Carl moves in this - there's nothing wrong with it - this clip is under two minutes yet Carl crams everything into that short time - a great groove - a great solo - a great vocal - I've done TV shows myself and a lot of the time you walk away thinking it could have been better - how can this be better - it's perfect - stop moaning, man.

  • The real Rockabilly Cat!

  • Great. Thanks very much.

  • The "real" KING of Rock n Roll

  • In the eighties he was the same but wearing a toupe and somebody in the audience shouts, I like your syrup, and he lifts the carpet from off his head and says, it's hot under here. Then he carried on with the gig.

  • You can grab the audio-mp3 of this song at grabaudionow doht cohm.

  • helt suveränt bra låt =)

  • Carl Perkins, the most unrespected musician of the century, and that's very sad.

  • 54 years on...'matchbox' is still the song that they all wanna sing... un-f##kin believable.. i was 19 years old when he rocked the the place to its foundations with this song...!!!

  • fantastic.

  • True art!!!! love the song and the legendary footwork of one of the most unrrated artists of all time.

  • did he have p-90s or hummbuckers?. cause i only like the p-90s : )

  • Great song by a great artist.....long live Carl Perkins one of the original rockabilly artists.

  • The man had a #1 hit and still had to pick cotton to pay for his kid's Christmas presents.

  • George Harrison!

  • Without no doubts the King of Rockabilly

  • Wonderful. The true king of Rockabilly.

  • One of the greatest of all time. Carl Perkins!

  • This is very close to the mother lode of pure rock n roll. He got it!

  • Ringo Starr led me to Carl Perkins and beyond

  • Was Johnny Cash for me :P

  • Saudades dos tempos que, eu não vivi!!!

  • Absolutely brilliant!

  • truly fantastic. better than elvis by a long shot.
