I remember this performance and (especially) interview, VIVIDLY. I had just gotten into alternative music, and girls, and Conan's show was super-new and fresh, and I remember Bjork's eyebrows and conspicuous lack of a bra and how great the performance was and how charming Bjork was and how fundamentally sweet and earnest Conan was, and I can honestly say this clip changed my whole life. There is nothing on tv right now as sweet and honest and important as this performance and interview.

@ShayaNova i was just thinking the same thing. yet, it kind of feels like yesterday. i remember i had to work the night this was on and one of my co-workers had the night off and video taped it. he came to work talking about how cute bjork was and let me borrow the tape so i could watch it. remember it so clearly, like it was only a few months ago, yet, like you said, it was so long ago. almost 20 years. we ARE getting old.

@Yngelel I'm pretty sure Conan pronounced it correctly because Bjork wants her name to be heard properly, or as properly as it can be. He doesn't speak Icelandic but if Bjork says her name rhymes with "jerk" then he IS pronouncing it correctly.
