First Win The 8th Gym Badge and go to Route 10 Gate.

That will trigger the roaming of Thundurus or Tornadus in their respective games. (White/Black)

I just got my Thundurus after lowering his HP to ''red'' (10% hp I think) then put him to sleep.

It took me several battles looking for him at the Routes the Bulletin Boards told me on Gates that it was a ''Unusual Storm''.

Thundurus will be like you last left him in the last battle so after trying to catch him with diferrent pokeballs and soft-reset, I tried with a standard PokeBall and saw it tilted 3 times!

After sevveral tries in many days at last I catched it on a PokeBall. :D

if you don't have premier ball, just buy 10 pokeball at pokemart in PC then you get 1 premierball as bonus

Well, I once encountered Thundurus but my empoleon used cut then i killed him by accident but then Thundurus came back for a second time.... Weird Its kinda like victini. You kill him and he comes back.

@obliveax Tornadus is Black exclusive, Thundurus is White exclusive. If you get a Thundurus from someone then you can get a Landorus.

Finally caught it with an Ultra Ball! I put it to sleep using the move Sleep Powder and then the next time I saw it I used the move Mean Look to prevent it from escaping and then I caught it!

@Timbot2002 quick ball has a catch rate of 4 on the first round, with a pokemon like thundurus u get about a 10% chance or less of catching him with quick ball with full health. thundurus is very easy to catch, just go after him, false swipe the hell out of him, when his health is very low, whenever u see him, quick ball him.

Why is a bad-ass Pokemon like Thundurus with big muscles and a mean looking grin running around from being captured? If anything, he should be more like Mewtwo and stand his ground avoiding capture. Even today our Pokemon are getting weaker: back in my day, Pokemon would do whatever they could to ovoid capture.

I also have Thundurus. I paralyzed him first. Then, I weakened him until he had 1 HP remaining by using False Swipe. It took a few tries to catch him afterwards, but it was worth it.
