dont worry about children, adults get that trouble as well. I experienced it about 3 years ago flying bto qld, bloody painful, i was almost in tears. I never realised till then what it meant, and i too always wondered why children were always crying on landing, now i know. I bet a lot of parents dont know this. I did some research and had ear candling done. Not sure if it really worked or not, but last time i flew, no problems.

When will you people understand that the reason kids get anxious and upset is because the varying levels of atmospheric pressure acting on their little bodies making them cranky and uneasy!

Its a horrible feeling for many people especially during take offs and landings! The poor kid in this video must have felt so uncomfortable. I know this for a fact because I have kids, and when they were babies we had the same problems during flights.

You obviously have no idea mate. childrens sinus cavities and eustachian tubes arent as well developed as an adult. and as a result a child can be experiencing extreme discomfort during climbs and descents due to the changeing atmospheric pressures. go flying with a severe cold sometime when your unable to equalise the pressure inside your head due to blockages and id like to see if you manage to not cry. not to mention the kid could be terrified
