What kind of mic and how would you place it toward a guitar amp to record something decent?

@aljeru88 There's no rule on what you should do. You should pick the mic that sounds right for the song. Experiment on what sounds best, same with placement. IF you don't have any and are thinking of buying one, and assuming you're on a budget, then a 57 is a decent choice IMO

yeah it works pretty good. mostly for guitars, guitar amps and vocals..

im is broken actually.. not sure how it happened, but the u sound coming through the headphone input leacks into channel one, so if your recording to a click, you can hear the click in the recording! which sucks..

its not isolated because your window you will need to triple pane each pane at a slightly differenty angle and put a small layer of cystals on the bottom

they are double pane and yes i should hav angled one window.. but i did put the crystals at the bottom.. its still pretty isolated considering the wall isnt that thick.. its got 4 layers of drywall through.
