I live near the ring. Its a bit expensive because it is highly addictive, but its also fun to just drive there and watch the tourist drivers (for free of course). Depending on the spot where you are watching the track, on a "good" sunday, you can see AT LEAST one crash :)

I'm 23yrs old.. if you have a drivinglicens you can drive there ;) it costs 22euro per lap, but you have fun for 10 till 12 minutes :D on the 20+km long track!!

I have only one advice, GO THERE its worth it!!

@JonnyFromGermany i drove there 1600 kilometers from Lithuania, aged 20 for the first time. With just over 2 months of having my licence. Grand Prix Legends, rFactor and other simulators teach you to drive and know the Nurburgring well enough to be fast there right away!

Also, that's just understeer followed by oversteer, not powersliding.

There was no understeer. Wherseifen (the name of this downhill combination) is two turns. The driver pushed the car into minor brake-oversteer in the first turn, before swinging the weight around to bend sideways around this tighter corner.

yes its about 2100kg or 4400 lbs.

its engine is massive v10 with 2 turbos and all the tubing for intercooler(s) and awd quattro so u can easily justify these 2 tons.

no it wouldn't. just because it's turbo charged doesn't mean it should be making no lower than a certain number. once the compression is lowered, the power goes down. then the twin turbos work to provide a better power band. two turbos don't mean more power than one.
