As a FEMALE bus driver in newcastle, this is my pet hate! i am constantly telling people to turn off the music on their mobile phones (normally groups of youths) i get all of the swearing etc etc and i dont put up with it, i stop the bus, when a passenger complains i explain the problem, this normally results in the rest of the passengers having ago at the offending youths, sometimes i ask them to leave the bus, if they refuse i involve the police, it is actually a breach of the peace offence!
Awful sound in this video - similar quality to the very phones that you hate. I hate the selfishness and inconsiderateness of people who play music out loud as well, I'm just not fond of the way you present your campaign. Good luck.
Excellent video. I'm a bus driver and often ask people to please turn their music off or use headphones if they wish to continue listening to it. I find it irritating, as I know most passengers do. The sorts of people who play crap out loud on their mobiles are usually dim witted, ignorant, idiots
Well, there you go. An atypical response from the opposition. Well thought-out, beautifully constructed, succinct and to the point. We couldn't ask for more...
bla bla bla, the sound from mobile phones in 1812 was better than the sound of your video, start improving yourself and then start moaning on other people...so far..i just can only say, fuck you you pathetic fucks..go get a life! a very big fuck you from holland, bye
@ExtrAFaktor HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA UR FUNNY UR SO FUNNY YOU SHOULD BE A COMEDIAN SINCE YOU'RE SO FUNNY AND "PRETTY" HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
perhaps government should give headphones vouchers to all underachieving chavs and hoodrats instead of those vouchers for cds and trainers? oi, your music is c*ap - can't even hear the bassline :-/
As an Inspector for Southdown Motor Services Ltd, I always tell people with loud music to turn it down. I had a chav on the vehicle whom i politly asked if he could turn down the music. I was met with a smack in the face!
We'd suggest you read up on current transport byelaws asap. And yes, we 'hate' being forced to listen to other people play loud music on public transport, but this is not a hate campaign. If you think it is then you have seriously missed the point.
I've already clearly stated the problems with your hate campaign and the way you are conducting it. I'm just so glad you have found something so worthwhile to do with your time. I'm sure you think comparing the irritation of loud music with the health problems associated with passive smoking is pure genius, however, my opinion differs. Deal with it.
With all the REAL suffering going on the world over, including in and around London, I am extremely disappointed to find your suggestion and enthusiasm in lobbying authorities about such a petty complaint.
There are many countries of the world where publically played music is a commonplace feature of the culture and has been for centuries. Preventing public expression of one's taste in music would be an effective way to stunt our cultural development.
Stunting of our cultural development? What is that supposed to mean? By your argument we all have the right to sit on a bus or train with a ghetto-blaster turned up to 10 or playing a trumpet, and no one has the right to speak up, move seats or get off. That's anarchy, I'm afraid. Please don't try and compare anarchy with the development of culture, it makes no sense.
The point is you do have the right to speak up, move seats or get off. I do not condone violence or unnecessarily loud music. 'My argument' is mostly based on fact not opinion.
Not only does this betray your own intelligence (lack thereof) and prejudice, but also displays very poor use of the english language that you appear to be so keen to censor.
Yes, we Brits love a reason to complain but firstly, how can you say (in the comments section of your website) 'all your messages will be passed on' followed by 'We have tried to provide a broad cross-section of the comments received' then contradict yourself by saying 'We chosen not to include the few objections to the campaign that we have received'.
Hiya, just seen this all the way through. What was the outcome in the end? They still haven't banned them though...

We did the best we could without a video camera, microphones or any sound equipment whatsoever.

You obviously have no serious concerns or problems in order to get worked out about nothing.
London is rather noisy I'm afraid. Ever thought of moving to the Outer Hebrides?

The only part of my argument that would involve anarchy is that which would break out if your rules were to be enforced.

So what are you moaning about then? This is us exercising our right to 'speak up.' Deal with it.
