I relate the power rangers vs sentai argument to the sub vs dub argument. Fact is, unless you speak Japanese, you've got no clue if the acting in Sentai is good or not. Using the argument that Samurai sucks cus the acting is bad is extremely one-sided and self-entitled.

What's with all the critizing. The original footage is from shinkenger. Its just voice over with american actors and alittle reshooting, nothing more or less. Shinkenger is more adult based and Power Ranger Samurai is adapted more for the kids fanbase. The atmosphere is less darker than shinkenger was. Children need role models whether its power rangers or something else. Who are we to crush that. :(

While I was happy at first to see Power Rangers in the hands of its original creator once again, I have since come to look upon this new Samurai season with disdain. While bringing back the MMPR vibe would make sense from a business standpoint, I dont think its doing any wonders for the show. The writing is piss poor even by PR standards, the Rangers themselves are horribly wooden, and I hate that the monsters never shut the hell up even when dying. (to be continued)

@ImpulseKid86 (continued) A big part of the reason Power Rangers has been around for so long is because it has been allowed to grow and become somewhat more complex over the years. Mighty Morphin is hailed as the best series simply because it was first, but if anyone was to go watch it without rose-tinted glasses, they'd realize that it has nothing going for it besides nostalgia. Samurai, in turn, feels like a huge step backwards, and I'm actually wishing the franchise ended with RPM.
