When I listen to the Suite III overture, I see what begins with a slow pan over the skyline of a retro-futuristic city on a peaceful night, which transitions to a sweep through the streets, with yellow light softly bathing the streets... Then at 1:04 the scene pans across to the androids, all working hard, while the rich humans sit back and drink wine on a balcony above them...

...All as Cindy Mayweather watches from the distance and starts singing Neon Valley Street...

Suite III Overture:

I was walking in home at night in the snow and this song came on. It was just beautiful. The snowflakes falling slowly with the warm lights from the street lamps glowing up the the untouched snow mounds.

One of my favorite pieces, because of that reason.

I love this overture. If you listen carefully it is a mix of all the songs prior to this overture, even the harmony and rhythm of the songs are all mingled in. This woman and her compatriots are geniuses. Love her creativity and the very thoughtful process that she took to determine how this album's direction would take.

@stewxl it was such a treat to hear the orchestra on this CD. It's really the blend of sounds I have looked for a long time. I really don't listen to artist out now, I usually only listen to classical and orchestra pieces, but her voice is something amazing, the range... it demands attention... then the creative arrangement and the many different vibrations of the songs that penetrate your mind and heart. Classic album in the making. Love everything about beautiful Monae
