nice video. I personally tape up where the hotshoe connects to the plate if there's no electronic contact needed to sync up. Just in case there's a short or a surge, maybe I'm just overcautious. Thanks!
I've heard other people mention that about accidental electrical conductivity before but with the way those clamp-head things are shaped the bottom of flash shoe isn't in contact with much other than the outer edges anyway so I haven't worried about it yet.
Now that you've mentioned it, however, I'm going to double-check that when I get home to be sure.
