The Confederate flag was never meant to be racist, although it is associated with the south. Although many believe that all of the South was pro slavery, and the north was anti. Which is not true. A lot of the north were more concerned with taxing, and government. Many owners also lived in the North as well. Not saying it was right, but the North and the South both had flaws... north just came out on top and the flag is associated with racism, and will always be..
