Think about it. He did two shows a night, for a month at the time in Vegas! No wonder he got bored to death with this routine. This performance is simply a killer. The composer of this song, Tony Joe White, was honoured when he heard that Elvis included this song in his repertoire. Elvis was a mover and a a shaker. No one around today comes close.

I think things that made him so SUPER great is that he had a little somethin as far as entertainment for everyone. He was Rock, he was roll,he was country, R/B"s Gospel. Just about everything. He had looks that guys envied, that almost all women loved, the moves, the voice, the style, and the list goes on. this song is my most favorite. Elvis at his best.
