@zz773 First of all, I had a botched abortion 29 years ago. They don't give alternatives. The guy that did mine has made so much money he bought Santa Anita racetrack. I am now a nurse, and know too late of the complications. In my Merck Manual (medical reference book) it states that in 1963 there were 13 abortions per 1000 births. In 1980 it went up to 362 per 1000. It's a product that is sold to the public. There are lots of people looking to adopt.

@zz773 There are over a million people waiting to adopt. Infertility has risen dramatically. Many people want children but can't have them for one reason or another. This is not a religious issue, it's a human and civil rights issue. It's only people of faith who have the guts to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves.

I've met David Bereit and his wife and kids... he's a wonderful person... his wife got him involved in the pro-life movement... if you listen to the "Do It Anyway" talk he gave upon receiving a pro-life award (it's on the 40DFL website), you'll laugh your skull off, because he is such a reluctant hero (the way he tells it,) God dragged him kicking and screaming into the pro-life movement... how scary, to take a leap of faith and quit his paid job to go full time... beautiful family...
