There are certain principals in animation wich you dont make up yourself and principals what every animator must follow, including me. If you think animation is only rappdily showing images, then your saddly mistaken. There are alot more of it
I don't just say anything. Maybe this is the wrong video (my internet is at this moment to slow to watch the whole vid. again), but what I see is a view screenshots of the coloring proces of the flower... And thats not an animation, thats a work progress or maybe you can call it a storyboard, but definatly no animation.

You don't seem to know a lot about animations. An animation can have 1 FPS or 0,01. There's no rule for that. As long as it changes during those frames it is an animation.
I know! But if you've actually read my comment you'd know that I said its the way I look at it. Its my view of it. I know a animation could be 2 frames with a hour of changing time but to run it smoothly you need a little more than that. I think this is a work in progres. But officially you can call it a animation. I just think otherwise...
@nogie8 You cant measure it with frames per second. animation is basically giving life to lifeless objects through animation. More fps just makes it look smoother. And 25fps is what animation companys use to animate films.

She works at 15 fps and there's no way anyone can deny her animations. :p If you meant 20 frames, I can see that, but I've seen some good animations that are less than that. But, the definition of an animation is, a series of pictures put together to give the illusion of movement. Which this is not, it's a speedpaint. But, whatever.
Its just a different style......a flip book is an animation.......In your view its just "not good" because its single camera pictures....which is what most animations are.......It still is an animation though...regardless...... for instance, Flipbooks are Paper Drawn images slightly moved.

i like the colors. little tip. if you dont want the thin white line between the black and the color after making you selection go to modify expand selection and expand it a few pixels. that way it bleeds out behind the black.
You might wanna try different opacity and blending modes, photoshop has really cool effects. You might also wanna add in paper textures using 'Bevel and Emboss'.
I pretty much did some paintings using photoshop recently and animated it. Check my profile out, and give me some comments on my animation.

And screenshots put together is also an animation. But this is more like rough animation of a flower becoming a flower from some lines or something.

u can video capture photoshop while u draw in realtime, teh same way video tutorials are done...
the skipping frame quality of an uploaded video capture will give the same "animated" effect.
