  • @airsoftplayer17 its a really small mac

  • I have conected my samsung p2370h with the mini dvi to dvi connector and my p2350 vga with the minidisplay to vga connector but the VGA display wont work.. i've tried with 2 different vga monitors and nothing happens even rebooting the mac mini and leaving just the minidisplay to vga connected the mac wont recognize the monitor (just the dvi)

(the minidisplay to vga addapter was working fine and i doubt its broken)

    any sugestion?

  • @airsoftplayer17 Go to the apple site

    apple(dot)com/macmini

  • Question,

I have my Mini connect to my HDTV now.

    (miniDVI to DVI to HDMI)

I have a CRT TV in my bedroom,

what adapter should I look for to connect the miniDisplay port to Component or RCA in on the CRT TV?

The displays would be set to mirror bc its an HTPC

  • @HotOffTheReel Get a new TV for you bedroom or just a computer monitor. It's likely possible to connect it to a SD CRT but it would be a pain in the ass. A better option would be to get an original xbox and hack XBMC onto it.

  • What resolutions are the monitors ?

  • I guess I can safely assume that this one's the Early 2009 version because of the upload date xD

  • a cheap starter/portble media computer

  • It's a computer.

  • This helped alot! Thanks :)

  • nice setup

im thinking to buy a imac 27 inch but this is olso very cool

    thxs

  • you have nothing in your dock

  • correct, in this video I didn't, thats before I installed my FC Studio 2. I only like keeping apps that I use frequently on the dock. Also now i have the doc on the second display on the right side of the screen instead of the bottom.

  • Do you have the 256MB video ram one? I just bought a Mini 4 days ago and its the 128MB model.

  • Yes I have the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of shared DDR3 SDRAM

  • Could you please post a link from Amazon to what kind of Mac Mini model you're currently using? Thank you.

  • Hey that's awesome!

I'm thinking of getting a mac mini.

Actually I'm a Windows user and I think this is a really hard step for me to switch to a mac!

Well anyway could you pls make a video tutorial on how to connect them and stuff! Very helpfull!

  • Yes, I'm in the process of making one. Hopefully it will be up next week.

  • Just jump over the fence don't sit on it!

You wont be disappointed, providing you don't play many games... thats not one of Mac's strong points

  • The only reason I haven't switched to mac; not to mention they are a little over priced for their hardware...

  • hello!!!! im getting the 2.0 gh with 4gigs of ram and 250gigs of harddrive

do you think there is a huge diference in 2.0 ghz to 2.26ghz???????

and with 4gigs of ram. is it enough to have alot of apps open?????

  • I think the 2.0 gh should be fine and shouldn't be that much different from the 2.26. I think you should get 4 gigs especially if you want lots of apps without having and problems or slowing your computer down. I usually have Final Cut, compressor, and dvd studio pro open at the same time and they run fine without a problem. Also the check the spec requirements for the apps you are using. Are you getting the mini? The mini comes with 120gb hard or 320gb hard drive.

  • hello

plz how u can make 2 screens on mac mini

and its good 4 graphics and windows xp coz i have macbook pro too

    thx

  • I have the new mac mini. The older mac mini's can't do it. The mac mini has 2 ports. 1 is a mini dvi port and the other is minidisplay port. If you have monitors with DVI input then you have to buy adapters (Mini DVI to DVI adapter and MiniDisplay to DVI adapter). The graphics look really good!

  • Just a note. You don't have to purchase the whole 4 gigs all at once from Mac store to put in the mac mini. That's because there is a way for you to open up your Mac mini and to place in your own ram at a lower price.

  • wht is ur macmini specifications.? 2.0Ghz? nvidia 9400 128mb or 256mb shared? hdd?

  • NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of shared DDR3 SDRAM

    320GB Serial ATA, 5400 rpm

    2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM

  • omg, this (mcmini+Monitor+ keybrd+mightymouse) price higher than a imac (2,66GHz 6MB Cache + 4GB Ram+24" LCD+640GB HDD)....

  • I only bought the apple keyboard, the mouse is not apple, they are very pricey, and the samsung monitors didn't cost much. For both monitors they were $260. I need both screens for editing and to run more apps at the same time. I don't like the clutter on one screen. I also take the mini out alot on projects and is easier than an imac.

  • It does extend your desktop, u can also mirror the first display. Yes you can run multiple apps on there, but I recommend having more ram. The mini I have has 4gigs of ram so I can run more apps without any problems. I mainly use the dual displays for editing. I have my timeline on one display and the bins and capture tool on the other display. Sometimes I have the DVD studio pro on one display while having compressor or photoshop open on the other display. Hope that answers your question.

  • how dose the dual display work? extends your desktop? run multiple apps? thanks
