  • I can NEVER get enough of this song it is just SO good.

  • I love 16 Horsepower and Woven Hand, but i exceptionally dig David Eugene Edwards' solo music! Great job.

  • ...Best artist

  • Side note, anyone else notice how much David looks like Peter Bellamy in the last scene of this video?

  • This is really amazing. What is the instrument called he plays?

  • @Robinzorz It's called a banjo actually, it just has a full wooden body. Take a look at the banjola from Goldtone, it is quite the same kind of thing.

  • This is the mutts nuts! on my xmas list!

  • Truely amazing.

  • why havnt i heard about him until now!

wow amazing i could listen to this all day long

just need a cd by him

the 1 who dislike this is a deaf person who is mad cuz he or she cant hear this masterpiece !

  • Holy Moly; what a good version. Can`t believe I haven`t heard this until now. But, that`s also a good thing; now I have something nice in front of me. (think I have heard it seven times already)

  • My all time favorite artist and the best live show you'll ever see. Mesmerizing and flawless

  • Woven Hand came to my city the day I started the first day of a new job (night shift). I'm still debating if I made the right choice not to go. Job security or perhaps one of the best live musical experiences I would ever experience....

  • Old school banjo! awesome!

  • I like when he comes back to the past, too...

  • Gonna see him/WH live in less than a week. Can't wait!

  • I know what I'll be listening to while workin in my Blacksmithing shop for the next couple months & beyond....

  • Is it a bazouki or 'acoustic banjo' that he's playing?

  • Where can I get an mp3 of this version? I'd feel bad not paying for this masterpiece!

  • @DevilDriverPyro

Agreed, however this particular audio recording/performance is not for sale so enjoy gratis!

  • @markalamarama I NEED IT ON MY MUSICAL DEVICE!!! SO I CAN LISTEN ANYWHERE!

  • @DevilDriverPyro

Buy 2 copies of a different song and download this. lol.

  • He plays a rare "August Pollmann Royal Mandolin Banjo" I believe. Pretty cool

  • That's pure and simple music. Life should be like this !

  • Wonderful !

  • amazing!

  • wow. great camera work...that's really beautiful

  • great work!

  • great song and great musician....

I have a doubt about what instrument he's playing, it is a banjo isn't it? but not a common banjo, no? if not please give me the name of it.

  • @patapon85

DEE is playing an old hybrid banjo/mandolin. made by a special luthier but i don't remember the name.

  • The beat on the base to keep time, the pull offs so it sounds like a sweep and fingerpicking the bassnotes - only two hands and it sounds like a 3 man band!

  • David Eugene Edward is music!

  • Love this guy...i've been to the woven hand concert in Skopje-Macedonia..it was outstanding...!!!

  • Great artist.

  • Great video! Thanks for posting!

  • He needs to get glass for his windows

  • That's a shed, not a house. Too, it's in Seattle, not Colorado, where I understand he lives. Unless you were joking, in which case give me a thumbs down and I'll keep quiet.

    Beautiful song.

  • Thats instrument is made by August Pollman, around 1880-90s, they goes for around £500..

.Look out for them on Ebay they come up here and there...Look for the pearl shaped disc on the headstock always a pointer for the right model, you can also buy a modern copy by Goldtone which is called a banjola..

    Pollman also made mandolins

  • It is a banjola

  • Yeah. It's a banjola all right.

  • greetings from palilula marketplace!!

  • They calll it a wooden banjo or a mandoline banjo. He talks about it in the npr tinydesk concert

  • It´s a 5string banjo, although the body seems to be from a mandolin or something like that.

  • I knew it was a 5string banjo of sorts but it isn't...a traditional banjo...

  • what instrument is this?

  • What instrument is this?

  • Some people actually say michael jackson was the greatest entertainer of all time...

  • Lol! Fair enough my friend. Whatever floats your boat!

  • You uploaded trance music.

    Your argument is invalid.

  • To clarify, this was a response to piggybags.

  • απλά τέλειο το κομμάτι..!!

    thanx a lot!!

  • I like that he still occasionally does the 16hp stuff as well, but not too often

  • Fantastic! So cool. Thanks David! :-)

  • Anyone know what tuning that is? Standard G (D, B, G, D, G)? Modal G (D, C, G, D, G)? Something else?

  • pretty sure it's G-minor--tune the second string to B-flat

  • I think you're right, thanks!

  • This is So AMAZINGLY Badass ! DEE and Woven Hand Rule!

  • aint no sin in being forgiven...man I love that line!!

  • The best.

  • Wonderful! One of the best singer/songwriters around! And great filming.

  • delightful, thanks for sharing. BTW can I ask? which camera/lens did you use?

  • Sony EX3 Camera | Letus Extreme 35mm Adapter | Zeiss 25mm Prime Lens | Mattebox w/Tiffen Neutral density Graduated Filter

  • thanks! I was wondering for some reason if it was a NikonD90 photo camera... nice equipment and more accurate instead :)

  • Perfection !!!!

    see the high priest

    he took my place

when the judge looks to me

    he saw his son's face

    not gonna join you in

    your tower of babble, boy

    tired o' that talkin'

    i'm sick o' that noise

    To true Amen !!

  • It's the Tower of Babel
