I remember watching G3 in London when Tony was playing for Steve Vai. He was handling the keyboards and backing guitars. When it came to introducing Tony, there was almost mellowed response from the crowd, so I got up and screamed my head off for him.

I can't describe the way this sounds to me other than not good.

It also sounds extremely sloppy to me so I just dont understand what's worth watching in this video.

Chopin loves his playing, he told me. :) Obviously he's playing around in the studio. Listen to the full song on Edge of Insanity and you might change your mind. If I had videos of all the practice sessions I did I'd be arrested. Lighten up, checkout his album and come back and let us know what you think.

Well, Chopin didn´t play the guitar....so who cares if he would not approve the style of Mcalpine on piano. He is a great musician, great on guitar and great on piano or keyboard. Chopin was one of the most influential composers for piano in the 19th century..... but please, he es death!! Tony rules

Just by saying that is completely disrespectful to Chopin. Chopin can criticize MacAlpine even if he plays the guitar. Tony plays the PIANO and that's Chopin's instrument. So it does matter. And don't disrespect him by saying well he's dead because that saddens me because he died such a young age. Age 39.

Well, this video doesn't show how good Tony is on piano. His recordings of the different Chopin Etudes that he has on his cds are quite beautiful. He's certainly not as good as Vitalij Kuprij, or any top concert pianist, but you make it seem like he's a hack on piano. Anyway, Tony is a very gifted musician whether it's guitar, piano, or keyboards. Cheers...
