Starr is a prime example of a great, great, talent (his facial work and physical ticks are unparallelled...when he can be bothered) that was effectively wasted by a: never updating his act, b: booze, and c: being HORRIFIC to work with. This guy could-and should-have been a national institution, but his complete refusal to take critcism and generate new material, along with his terrible aggression and violent temper, meant he was stuck mainly on the sidelines. What a shame.

He is quite funny in some of his acts but as you say it is hard to like him since I know things about him that most people don't. He left my mom for a younger woman when I was 1 and didnt come back till I was about 7. After a couple of weeks he left and said I was a horrible person just because I asked him to play a game with me (believe me I'm not even exaggerating).He came back when I was 11 and told me to go f**k myself, then threatened to hit me.
