The mavs were the worst defensive team ever in the Finals, that year they were single-handedly outscored by Kobe(62-61), what would a Dallas basketball fan know of defense? The Mavs have been weak on that end since the 80s.

Interesting point about the free throws, so I went back over all of the box scores from the series. The winner of each game shot more free throws during that partcular game, and as it turns out the Lakers attempted one more free throw in the series. Whether Game 6 was the worst officiatiated or not, usually it's the home team that does get the calls in the playoffs.And despite bad reffing in Game 6, the Kings couldn't pull out in 7.

Though the screen was solid, Webber does turn slightly into Fisher, but its a tough call to make in that spot.
If Sac is better than LA, they dont lose the 2nd half by 15 in game 4.

Vlade and Pollard combined to average like 8 fouls per game in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 (fairly reffed games) but had combined 3 in game 5. Not to mention the ball going out on Webber, the ref calling it for LA, but somehow switched to Sac for Bibby's game winner.

Interesting point about the free throws, so I went back over all of the box scores from the series. The winner of each game shot more free throws during that partcular game, and as it turns out the Lakers attempted one more free throw in the series. Whether Game 6 was the worst officiatiated or not, usually it's the home team that does get the calls in the playoffs.And despite bad reffing in Game 6, the Kings couldn't pull out in 7.

Of course the Celtics didn't win the Championship, they lost their best player to injury. There is not one team in basketball that could survive that and still win it all.
Spurs without Duncan? We saw that in 2000. Lakers wouldn't have a chance at making the Finals without Kobe, nor Orlando without Howard. Cleveland without LeBron? Not a chance. Etc, etc, etc.

But didn't KG play in both games against the Lakers this year? And didn't they still lose, including at home? But I'm still supposed to believe they would've won the championship anyway if KG was healthy? Even tho a healthy KG still didn't stop them from being swept this year by the Lakers? I don't know dude. Sounds like shinola to me. Seems like the Celtics and Lakers got about what they deserved this year.

yes but Kings and Lakers were both great teams that year..Kings were just slightly better...The Boston team Lakers faced was just a different beast..Plus you didnt have Shaq in that series..and you must understand the importance and dominance he brought for your team.
