  • i live in the city where waynes world takes place

  • i actually tried this at guitar center and i got a "may I help you?"

  • That sound would never have come from a strat

    strat's suck

  • @joshhasadeathwish well thats caz you are deaf.

  • They sold this movie at McDonalds i think. That's why we saw it as kids. Aw yeah.

  • 15 people aren't feeling saucy! XD

  • im feeling saucy lol

  • Why don't he just take the black one? I think the floyd rose is better than the strat vintage trems...

  • @Bobcoolest Because it's a movie and they didn't expect people to care about that stuff.

  • @Bobcoolest because floyd roses are a bitch to tune?

  • @Bobcoolest agreed, but it's product placement haha

  • I'm feeling saucy!

  • Is that Rusty Cooley?

  • Why is the Braveheart Freedom Speech a related video?

  • The things I would do for that Strata

  • @187RailroadBull The things I would do to that Strat.....

  • I'd totally have a "No stairway" sign.

  • When he was holding up the cash i was really nervous because i thought he was going to drop the strat

  • did wayne just do the "tebow" hahahha

  • @vmacisback no tebow did the wayne.

  • Oh, fuck you with a wrench.

  • Tabs?

  • I did the exact kneel when I saw Eddie Van Halen's guitar at the Rock of Fame in Los Angeles

  • Wait wait wait.... when he holds up the cash, what's holding up the Strat? Never noticed that before :|

  • @DashH90Three Oh god wut

  • It sucks when you play this in a music store and they don't come when you play this...

  • Id take the esp over the strat any day.

  • @dannyphehe You're fucking retarded

  • Comment removed

  • Kinda funny how theres distortion, but the guitar isnt plugged into anything.

  • No Stairway! Denied!

  • Fender Stratocaster..... SHWING!!!

  • Not today My Good Man

    I'm Feeling Saucy...

    Do accept...

    Cash?...

Thumbs up if you have ever done this...

  • cassandra is fucking gorgeous

  • Waht movie is that

  • @BlackCasperr Are you being serious?

Tell me you're not being serious..

  • @Chickenboned Epic Face palm.

  • @BlackCasperr you must of had a shitty childhood if your parents never showed you this movie...

  • @7thhkage I live in a different country. I don't even know what movie ya guys are talking about. Ya recommend it, I presume...

  • @BlackCasperr dude, you were denied

  • @BlackCasperr Since everybody asked you if you were serious but none of them told you what it was I'll tell you, it Wayne's World

  • @BlackCasperr It's called Wayne's World. Watch it ASAP...You're missin' out.

  • I saw this in the theaters, with my Dad..

During this scene, my dad and some other kid's dad both simultaneously shouted "THAT'S NOT STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN!" then looked and pointed at eachother and shared a knowing laugh.. then everyone else in the theater went "SHHHHHHHH" ..

If my dad were still alive, I'd send him a link to this and he'd be like "FUCK YEAH!"

  • @desktorp nobody cares

  • @lynchy4664 Well- your mother used to, but I stopped paying the bitch, so she left.

Sorry that story was so short. :C

  • @desktorp Are you from the US? Because the actual STH riff was played in US theaters. So your either not from the US or you are lying.

  • the good old days

  • I wanna learn this riff.

  • Tabs anyone?

  • GOTTA LEARN THIS RIFF :D

  • I played the Riff in my local music store, the attendant laughed and came over to help. We played stair way to heaven and referenced Wayne's World. It was a great day.

  • Next time i go to my local guitar store im playing the may i help you riff.

  • "I'm feel'n saucy" XD

  • The funny thing is that guitar is like really cheap nowadays ;P

  • @FALCONKIE not necessarily, the american ones are around $1000, if it was mexican then it's around $500, so not really cheap, i would say reasonable.

  • Comment removed

  • @FALCONKIE no, 60s fenders are worth a fortune

  • The store clerk is the bass player from Slaughter. Rock...

  • @chooseyourblues

LOL. Eric does not play bass at all. He is a singer and actor I work with all the time and a good friend of mine. Look up "Birthday Party Song" Eric Sage or check out some of his videos and singing on my channel. His band Lixx is playing Cabo Wabo in Vegas this weekend.

    Party on!

  • no stairway! denied

  • all hail Excaliber!!!

  • I'll make sure to play this "may I help you" riff next time I'm at the guitar shop.

  • OMG The guitar is actually plugged with an cable, omg...

  • Did you cut the Excalibur scene a bit?

  • I think the (ESP?) he picks up prior is a much nicer guitar. Am I the only one?

  • @DashH90Three Totally! It's not an ESP, though. Looks like a total rip off of a Jackson headstock - it's too fat and there's definitely no Jackson logo on it - so it could be absolutely anything.

  • @DashH90Three Judging by what most "shredders" need today as far as pickups and contouring? Yes, but I think any musician in the world would KILL to have a vintage strat, especially a 60's one in that good of condition.

  • Comment removed

  • dude they changed the song ever notice that ?

  • Do you accept ... cash? chaching

  • She will be mine ...

  • Do you accept cash cha Ching greatest line

  • im feeling saucy,lol

  • Not today my good man, I'm feeling saucy. Do you accept cash? Cha ching!

  • 0:12 WAYNE INVENTED TEBOWING!!!!!

  • @Salguine well you're bang on the money really because it's worth so much because of nostalgia, nout the fact it's the best by modern standards, think of it like your oldest favourite toy that is handmade....

  • found video searching 'wayne feeling saucy'

  • I didn't know whammy bar movement made a pulloff sound at the end of your riff :p

  • the 'No Stairway to Heaven" rule should be in all music stores lol!

  • @FatFingers4 no "nothing else matters" would be better :)

  • @h1041 please tell me your joking?!?

  • What's the Name of this Film ?????

  • @h1041 Wayne's World

  • Do you accept $20 in 1's? cha ching

  • the best comedy movie ever.....EVER!

  • I never fully understood the joke. Is it about Stairway being played over and over again by guys who play guitar or is it because Led Zeppelin wouldn't allow their music to be on film soundtracks at the time?

  • @panos4800 no, its because back when this movie was based (80s) thats all everyone played. it was like the only thing they knew haha

  • @panos4800 It is because Stairway is the FIRST thing every average guitarist goes for :D and you know what ESPECIALLY when trialing equipment in a shop! its unbelievable... its like call of the noob to play it ahaha

  • @ALLYRNUBZ its like playing smoke on the water, but the slightly more advanced version.

  • @ALLYRNUBZ The first thing I learned was Black Sabbath.

  • was is that? just a white fender strat???

  • @astroboirap Just? its an authentic mexicat strat probably hand crafted by leo or overseen by him

  • @ALLYRNUBZ but they're like £200 on ebay. i never did understand why it was such a big deal? hand crafted by leo is another thing thou, how do u know?

  • @astroboirap Its in a glass display case suspended in the middle of the shop, and he refers to it as excalibur.. it must have his signature on somewhere or be vintage

  • @astroboirap And no a mexican strat is worth upward of £500

  • @ALLYRNUBZ oh right, meh i still think they're nothing special. cheap as chips on ebay.

  • @astroboirap Ok. if you learn about guitar ( not being patronising) seriously, the first thing you should learn is the fender strat MADE GUITARS WHAT THEY ARE TODAY :P it was the first mass produced affordable guitar with a shape that (at the time) was very unique and loved! now they are more a nostalgia/ collector thing.. and some people still love them for the reasons they were loved when first produced =] hope this helped u

  • @ALLYRNUBZ i know that, i know the fender strat design is iconic. i have a few telecasters and strats i just didn't understand how THAT particular white one in the shop was just a big deal. you can get strats for next to nothing nowadays.

  • @astroboirap You seem to be focused on the retail price of modern strats xD when i repeatedly explain this one IS a big deal because its obviously a genuine vintage. and a vintage model of such an iconic guitar is worth a lot.

  • @astroboirap its like sure u think theyre worth nothing nowadays, (and they really arent i see £500 as a very much mid range price.) dont know where you're getting brand new fender strats for next to nothing but hey hook everyone else up while ur at it... i think maybe you own a squier or something mate xD encore... or any other cheap remake cause these are DEFINITELY worth a months wages.

  • @ALLYRNUBZ WORTH a month's wages, or COST a month's wages? I used to work for Gibson and PRS, and what I learned in my time there was that there's no reason at all that a guitar has to cost thousands of dollars to play well and sound good. You're paying an inflated price for the name. There are any number of guitars on the market that go for 5 or 6 hundred bucks that play great and sound fantastic.

  • @ALLYRNUBZ mass produced ELECTRIC guitar* :)

  • i miss the good old days when you could walk into an instrument store and have a good conversation on rock, guitars, and what produces the best sound instead of which system creates hiphop beats....and i especially miss the headbanger haired clerks

  • thumbs up if you genuinely refrain from playing stairway in guitar stores

  • I just LOL that he thinks a Fender Strat is the holy grail of guitars...

  • @armasiel Been wondering about it since the first time I saw the scene^^

  • What the fuck? was that stairway to heaven bit put in by the user? Every time I've heard it Wayne starts playing but it doesn't sound anything like Stairway.

  • I like to play.

  • These are the types of movies that make me wanna play hooky and watch.

  • And with that riff, the game Brutal Legend was born lmao

  • Not today my friend im feeeling SAUCY

    Do you accept pennys?

  • does anyone know what wayne starts playing before the clerk asks to put it back?

  • Tia is so smokin' hot. She still could get it even today.

  • Stairway to heaven, enter sandman and smoke on the water must be 3 of the most played riff at the music store. lol

  • @momay69 You forgot Nothing else matters.

  • @Cybraxas Sweet child of mine too. lol

  • @momay69 Is Sweet child of mine being played so commonly these days? I have no idea since I quit playing about 15 years ago and haven't been to a music store ever since ;)

  • @Cybraxas Not as common as it used to, in my place they always play metallica riffs. lol

  • why didnt they have this riff in the movie? thats something that always confused me!

  • @PlayStationPwnsXbox Probably because they either couldn't get permission or didn't want to pay for it (most likely).

  • @PlayStationPwnsXbox

i think it was the rights of the music issue

  • well you asked for original answeres

  • teletrontastic stratotrontastico splendiferous

  • who is that asian chick?? she's hot!!

  • @torontothegood Tia Carrere. She had her own show "Relic Hunter" for a while.

  • @Guy9998 i'm gonna iso hunt 'relic hunter' and see what's i can see. :-) thanks.

  • After watching some of these clips... I have realized that I quote Wayne's World on a daily basis... far more often than I ever thought....

  • Anyone knows if the riff at 0:46 is Rosalie by Thin Lizzy?

Saw that movie yesterday the first time... Instant favourite!

  • no stairway? denied!

  • what riff does wayne play just before he gets asked to put the fender back

  • Isnt the clerk 'Fabio' the other OldSpice guy?

  • I'd love to just go into QuickStop with an amp and guitar and just play this...

  • via IMDB:

"The 'Stairway to Heaven' guitar riff was changed for the international, cable, and videotape releases to a generic riff because of disputes in obtaining rights to the first five notes of the song, which appear only in the US theatrical release."

    He plays 4 notes.

    There you go.

  • @mikelad777 Thank you. I´ve just seen that movie in theaters once long ago. And when I saw it on VHS, and bought the dvd years later, I thought it was strange, cos I remember him really playing Stairway to Heaven, like this dubbed version. The joke doesn´t make any sense on the VHS and dvd versions...

  • strats pre late 70s stratocasters especially ones from the 1960s made in america are very sought after and desrible. jimi hendrix played one of that era. there good guitars though i prefer the gibson sg with p90s

  • Isn't the clerk the bass player from Snot?

  • @Nerdovich I think he's not... hehehe!

  • would have been funnier if it said no smoke on the water.

because everyone in teh universe plays that when they get a guitar.

  • that clerk is beautiful ;)

  • Can someone please explain what's up with the "no stairway" sign?

  • @Sniperfire123456789 Stairway to Heaven is a song by Led Zeppelin that lasts over 8 minutes!

  • @SwitchbladeIntensity Which is nothing, Dream Theater has songs lasting over 25.

  • @Sniperfire123456789 well, I think that it's because Led Zeppelin doesn't let anyone to put their songs in every movie the director wants to, well, that's what the extra material school of rock dvd taught to me xD

    hope it works =)

  • "not today my good man, I'm feeling saucy"

Lol, I quote that all the time

  • that may I help u riff is so true lol people at guitar center do that and the store clerk always comes over and immediately says may i help u

  • I dont really get it. A strat isn't that expensive of a guitar. 500 maybe for a standard.

  • @Flailwielder An MIM(Made in Mexico) Strat maybe, but an MIA(Made in America) Standard is certainly not a cheap guitar. Still far from the most expensive but last I checked, $1,000 is not exactly cheap.

  • Oh and besides, that looks like a Vintage American Standard judging from the coloration on the headstock which means this guitar could cost anywhere from $1,000 to infinity. I could be wrong though. Just my 2 cents.

  • would of been better if he said "do you except cash? shuwing!"

  • try the may i help you riff.... dont workit

  • what movie is?

  • @Th3MetalShockwave Wayne's world 1

  • maple neck is better :)

  • @ColdToiletSeats hmmmm rosewood fits better with my dark soul

  • Does anyone know what that song at beginning is called?

    0:00 - 0:09

  • i have an ibanez just like that :D

  • The riff is actually 2 guitars.

  • I want to learn the may i help u riff bcuz i know where they actually filmed this and the exact store cuz i take guitar lessons there.

  • No Stairway? Denied!

  • The clerk looks like Rusty Cooley

  • 'I dubbed the original intro of STH so now you get the joke'?

    We got the joke already!

    Nice work though :)

  • id like to be a douche hole, and point out thats not a riff, but a lick.

  • no stairway! denied!

  • "not today, my good man, i'm feeling saucy..."Lmao

  • can sumone please give me tabs to the may i help u riff lol i wanna try this at guitar center

  • i played this on a big store yesterday, the only thing i remember is that i woke up naked in the middle of nowhere...

  • @pescadomaligno uh oh you must have accidentally played the "black out and go into a deep trance mass rape fest" riff. it is dangerously similar to this riff :-\

  • song at 0:46? please reply fast id like to lern it today :)

  • Ha- nice adding the actual stairway- i always hated that they took it out of the original movie for legal bullshit

  • timing on the dub was pretty spot on.. nice work!

  • How can you not play Stairway in a guitar shop? THAT'S BLASPHEMY!!!
