Wow, those backing vocals really are excellent! I'm still very disapointet that the backing vocals on Kiler Queen from 1974-1976 are so strong, but they even had to be replaced with playback in 1984-1985!
Wow backing vocals fantastic as with all early Queen tours.History states that Freddie had to see a voice specialist in Philadelphia during this tour my guess is after Boston and Queen did numerous nights at the Erlinger theatre in Philly and Freddie could hardly speak.Hmm the Mott tour Brian gets sick after a Kings College Wilkes Barre ,Pa show (which I can only dream must have been Heavenly)Kings is a tiny place.I know I attende Wilkes University just down River Road.
Ya it sounded fairly similar. But he still has some trouble hitting the falcetto in some songs and hiting some notes he could easily hit on the records
Yes and if he didnt cover them with a note an octave lower he found some note that would fit nicely with the chord Or sometimes he would just say the line (like in is this the world we created)
EXACTLY. I can't stand how now webste or magazine marks Freddie as one of the greatest composers of the last 50's years. Everyone says John Lennon and Paul McCartney but cmon!!! they were great but Freddie was a whole different ball game
Ya Lennon and McCartney were good when they collaborated but cmon! I thought Freddie by himself was much better. Even Brian I could say would tie with them
Boston 74 is certainly the fake concert cause presents also the same See What A Fool I've Been Loving You live performance of Golders Green Hippodrome '73!
Thanks for helping me!I will change the title and description
He must confused, because someone uploaded the fake concert. So to speak, First uploader of this live said that the concert was taken at boston, but the concert was real taken at the rainbow, march.

Fuck, I think I might actually like this better than the studio version.

Freddie sounded AWESOME! Sang it just like the studio version.
Was this before he got nodules?

i believe so

It has to be, because if you watch the Rainbow Concert on here, Freddie's voice sounds almost exactly the same live as it did on the record.

That's over-touring for ya!
Gregsynth 2 years ago
ya having nodules plus tours that long can damage your voice but freddie came through..he always came through and sounded great
thebiggestqueenfan 2 years ago
And if he couldn't hit the highest notes, he always covered with lower notes well.

That's what separates a good musician from an EXCELLENT one: Know your limits and find ways to get around them.

Here's the thing: Lennon and McCartney were at their BEST when they collaborated. Freddie could write good songs on his own, no problem.

I'd say John Deacon was the most underrated of the writers.

This is mislabeled. This is really the Rainbow Theatre 1974.

Raw and it's good to hear Freddie doing the high parts - I believe later on in their career he sang 'mine' much lower.
bendeloup 3 years ago
He did sing that part lower, though in a few early Works show shows plus once in Sun City he hits those higher notes as well.
