Although I never went there, I REMEMBER this F*&^%$G commerical at 4 years old and how it SCARED THE LIVING SHIT out of me, especially the headless dummy grabbing the guy! OMYGOD OMYGOD!
When I was about 7 or 8 I was ready to go, but it had closed down (or burned down?)
I worked up on the pier as a teen in the restaurant on the second floor. It was cool to see the actors out back of the Castle on lunch breaks or just hanging around.
@MIKExxDUDE For real? As an 11yo kid, I lived in AC for a few summers. I visited this place just once, but it's left an ever lasting impression on my mind. I remember I was being a smart ass & saying "This ain't scary! It's all fake, etc". 1 of the employees grabbed me & said "You, the cocky 1, Come with ME!". LOL! AC area, early 80's, VERY nostalgic to me. Best time in my life. I'd give anything to be 10 again & travel back to '81. Alas, it's impossible, but @ least I have my memories.
When I was little I didn't have the guts to go in, but my cousin, who was my age(about 8 or 9)did. She was a bit braver. One of the actors reached out and touched her and instead of being scared, she simple turned around and said: "Don't touch the merchandise." That was funnier if you heard how she said it.
Geesh I remember every summer, my cousins would come down from Keansburg and the big thing was to go to the Brigantine Castle...Scared the heck outta us, we went every year..sometimes twice a year...just loved it!
I always wanted to go there when I was a kid but my parent's wouldn't take me (I was 6) but I remember I used to grab the advertizment pamflets and just stare at the castle. I remember the commercials, they're still awesome to see. Thanks
the castle was open in brigantine i believe from 1977 to 1984. When my parents took me there as a kid just seeing it gave me chills. I loved it !! I never went in the castle but just the memories from everyone talking about it was unbelievable.
They should bring it bk.. Lol :)

The Castle was Cool. The best part was when the Vampire jumped out of the portrait. as they were talking about the Castle when you first go in.

@stayshoobie
Dracula is one of my friends on facebook. I knew he was there and I was still scared when he jumped out. It was cool.

@goforward Cool. He was really the best part of the castle, at least for me anyway. It was a fun place back in the day

I recall that place so well. It looked menacing from a distance. Going in was awesome, similar to Disney's Haunted Mansion entrance.

This was the most scariest haunted castle i was in when i was a kid.
Was awesome though.
Seemed like the more you got scared the more you wanted to go in.
It was a great attraction.
