Keep on the Sunny Side was written in 1899 by Ada Blenkhorn (words) and J Howard Entwhistle (tune). MS. Blenkhorn was inspired to write the words by a wheelchair-bound cousin who said she was happier when wheeled to the sunny side of the street.
@reallygonecat can't it be both?!?! it's called Neoclassical country....dumbass. let me guess, another American who doesn't recognise the sound of his/her own national music. Hang your head in shame.....city boy poser.
my dad learned how to play and sing one song on the guitar...this was it. he get out his crummy old guitar and play this on those long cold winter nights by the fireplace. such a great memory. such a great song
Havent seen the movie but love the soundtrack!

It has a touch of bluegrass to it, aswell as country.

@AlexDCl It is bluegrass. How I know? Heard it by every band at a bluegrass festival.
