  • What kind of voices do you think Grieg had in mind ?

    Certainly he intended his songs to be sung by classically trained singers who knew how to support their sound...

  • Wow! Even though Grieg generally didn't intend his songs for operatic voices, I think this is just gorgeous. What a voice, and what a beautiful and sensitive interpretation of this sad song (with lyrics by Goethe)! Stella's accompaniment is also excellent. Grieg would surely have loved this too.
