Egads! The musical sounds beginning at 09:05 through the end of this segment include soft treble vocals that almost defy description. I wish I could hear the syllables or even detect a distinct language.
Listening enhances the suspense, builds the evil. Lovely.
And yes, a young Damian Lewis, around 24 years old when "Hickory Dickory Dock" first aired in 1995. What a sweet young man, eh?
The mouse plays his or her (or their) role to perfection. Graceful, sleek, and healthy. Quite busy.
@xxxPurplexGirlxxx Does it really Describe Ms. Lemon as Hideous??? How crazy......I always thought her little spit curls were more unattractive than anything.
@MrShaun42088 I also love Lemon, Hastings and Japp and I miss them to the point I don't enjoy the chapters of the "new Poirot" without them and even I refused to watch much of them. They made the story warm and added a touch of humor. The new Poirot is cold and overacted.
@Weimer63 Without Hastings and Ms. lemon, I do find Poirot to be cold and introverted. Makes him appear to be very much older. i had written about this before, i don't quite remember how i sumed it up, but poirot was always happier when they were around. he smiled and made jokes XD Like he was always trying to impress them... it seems now that he is as he says "Haunted by the Ghost of the Past"....very sad to lose your friends. Poor poirot.
Yes, I'm not sure how many viewers also read Agatha Christie's books, but she often wrote lines like Miss Lemon's to convey the general mind-set of the English towards their own superiority, and distaste for foreigners. I don't know how true this mind-set holds true now, though I did live in London in 2001. I think such things must linger, especially in smaller towns.
@hellenicadrasteia Well greeks are not exactly the nicest people on earth. The women can be rude. That's from my experience. However, I guess I may have just ran into maybe the worst people of the Greek nation. Maybe my bad luck
@hellenicadrasteia Yes I agree, but I know 2 Greek women and in most cases they are awful. One worse than the other. In very rare cases they are nice. BTW they also grumble about people of other races. Go figure.

I love Mrs. Nicoletis' accent.
I'm so happy Miss Lemon has such a big role in this story. When she's not there, i miss her. And, of course, she is truly beautiful.

@sesanner Yes it is lovely - and suspenseful! The treble vocals are just singing "Hickory...Hickory Dickory" repeated over and over.

by the disgusted look on Felicity's face you can tell that English people were not very fond of us Greeks...
