you guys have to take into consideration, that there is no if any atmosphere on saturn. there is no solid mass, and maybe there is some magnetic or gravitational force at work to effect the shape.
if you can look at my channel's background image, you will see that the top galaxy in the picture is also spiralling in a hexagon with those same 60degree angles but made up of stars instead of gasses!!

@zenithar6666 a long time ago the planets may have been more visible.there was no pollution and shit in the air,and no city lights to refract off of moisture particles in the atmosphere.and maybe the planets were in a different position/axis.Also,planets today have points in their orbit where they come close to earth and they become more visible to us. maybe long ago,the orbit of saturn brought it way closer to earth than it ever does today,making saturn super visible.im not an expert so i dunno

There's nothing bizarre about it; it's simply a formation of the vibrational frequency of Saturn. If you look up cymatic experiments, you'll see different patterns (including a hexagon) forming because of different sound frequencies.

When have an atmosphere of certain density and pressure, all of the weather cells (regions of high and low pressure) arrange into a closest packing pattern, and on a 2D surface, like a planet, the closest packing arrangement is 6 around 1, hence the hexagon shape. It's expected.

@supermike2164 Just go in any physics labs in a reputable university and they can show you, it's no real mystery, it's just that the blokes at NASA were not really fluid physicists, so they got startled and of course the media junk made the rest. This is rather mundane, really, I urge you check with a research institute or university and you will get your answer.

@xtoet, not likely considering that Saturn is a gas giant, a planet whose only surface might be its core. Light would not be able to sustain itself in a purely gaseous environment, and especially not with the crushing gravity of a planet that size.

the cloud will eventualy expand until the gases arn't to dense to burn and the core will get smaller and hoter, the gas ever expanding many times becoming less dense, the core continuing to erode on the layers of space it's in contact with ading to the burnable gases, until the core is so small and hot it burns, the core of the sun is in that process, eventualy the sun will become a supernova, the core grows smaller and hot enough to burn through the layers of space leaving a blackhole

what ur seeing is not the solid orb, at the centre of that gas cloud is a core many times smaller, the cloud is 120,000klm in diameter, and has only 10.5 hr in a day, the core will be spining much faster creating massive electromagnetic energy that make the storms and gravity that holds the gas cloud made from the eroding planet at the centre from friction in it's atmosphere,the cloud expands, the core gets smaller, gases to dense to burn, expanding until ignition, jupiter too, the sun was alike

if you can look at my channel's background image, you will see that the top galaxy in the picture is also spiralling in a hexagon with those same 60degree angles but made up of stars instead of gasses!!
The lower galaxy in the picture has 'clusters' of stars at the bottom that are arranged like 3D merkabas getting bigger with each cluster.
Then between them there's a mini-galaxy that has been 'captured' by the bigger two (or possibly its been created by the bigger two colliding)

It has all the elements that are needed to be considered alive. It keeps it form and shape. It borrows energy from outside itself and uses it to keep its shape and form. It resists entropy by adding to chaos. The only thing missing is there appears to be only one, but then there are many strange formation on Saturn that are hard to explain. The planet should be studied under the Gaia Hypotheses.

It is not a weather pattern because it keeps its shape. To say it is a weather pattern is to say hexagonal tornados exist. Also, this thing may be rotating with Saturn. Look up the definition of life. Wikipedia has a good one.

A pentagonal shape was seem in Hurricane Isabel on Earth. Weird things do happen in nature; if you have the right conditions (i.e. in that Hurricane) that you can get something like this. It is possibly some sort of standing wave phenomenon.

What's your point about it being the 6th planet? If it was the 666th planet, then that'd be a different story. Hurricanes have eyes, too. However, they don't take hexagonal shapes. But perhaps if you have the right conditions in a specific layer, then you could achieve an organized shape, as was seen in Hurricane Isabel's pentagon. Don't try to search for patterns where they don't exist.
