  • WHY do you have catapillars in a glass inside their cage....?

  • @TheSkylerTv What do you think animals eat in the wild -_-''

  • This has got to be the cutest stage of their lives.

  • I'v made a playlist tribute to ur project called 'gerbil tribute to pups and owner' but when I was doing it I notest that u mist out a hole 3 days of the project as I can only find days 1-18 and the 21st day. I'm just curious that's all

  • @Puppylover4958 Thanks! Thats nice of you.

I didn`t have enough time to make pictures and video`s and their developement doesn`t change much between that timeperiod. I did start a new vlog last week but sadly I missed two or three days allready so I`m gonna wait for another litter to come by. Asap I will make a new vlog.

  • can be taken away from mother at this age ? plz answer

  • Thanks for doin all the vids but wat up with the pink worms in the glass bowl :-/

  • excellent, many thanks for doing all these day to days

  • i am trying to figure out if my gerbil is male or female but its not used to me yet and its hard to tell if it has nipples with all of the fur is there any easier way to find out?

  • @avrillavigneiscool12 pick your gerbil up by the very base of it's tail. directly against its butt. let its front feet rest on something (an arm, table, chair, etc) and then you can check. Another way is to put them in a box with a transparent bottom in it. If your gerbil is adult it should be very easy to see male/female

  • i bread gerbils a year ago (when i was 12) 5 of them all of them lived but one got sick and was taken away from me... but i got him later. I volunteer at a animal hospital because i want to become a vet. while i was breeding i showed the progress to the vets everyday because i was really worried. it took a lot of time but it was worth it. it took a lot of research but it was needed. the only thing i don't like about volunteering is that i had to tell a family that their dog had to be put down :(

  • My gerbil Smudge looks like tht one at 0:22 but a tiny

bit darker kinda like the mum lol

  • these are very nice wat bedding did u use and what type of worms are they in the dish

  • Having raised gerbils myself, I find that this is the age where they are the biggest rascals! :) And they are FAST.

  • That was extremely interesting and very helpful. You look like you know a lot about the care of gerbils. Are you a vet or anything? how old are the parents?

  • Comment removed

  • couldn't find 19 or 20

  • what colour are the parents

  • was that worms in the food dish.YYYY

  • i just wanted to say thank you so much for posting these day to day journals, my gerbil just had babies 32 days ago, and i got on here every day to see if they were on track, thanks a ton!!

  • no problem! I actually never realised that people would use it in this way, but it's very useful I guess =D.

  • HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP My gerbil gave birth and the gerbils keep kicking the pups!!!!

  • What a wonderful vjournal!

  • My teenager gerbil will not eat the large mealworms they jump when they walk on them.

  • mealworms bite =D! we cant feel it. for the gerbils its probably not much more than a pinch. it doesnt leave any wounds whatsoever

  • im sorry but...i noticed you had worms in there what up with that? :P

  • ive answered plenty of posts about the worms. read up the rest of the comments

  • How do you introduce them to solid food?

  • mom does ;]. all i do to help them along a bit is put some smaller seeds in the mix so they can start mouthing a little earlier. i usually use big parakeet mixes but a lot of people tend to go for the cheaper option of dove seeds.

  • could I use canary too? or does it have to be parakeet?

  • you could use canary as well. i used parakeet cause it holds more sunseeds, something that my 'base food' didnt have.

  • where do you buy gerbils, and when you mate them do they keep mating

  • i havent bought any gerbils the last months because ive stopped breeding. i got my gerbils from private, as well as commercial breeders. both have their benefits, and downsides.

if you leave a male and female together they will usually keep mating and producing litters, yes.

  • They are so lovely;))

  • what saw dust is that uve put in there??

  • good video's :-)

  • What will you do with all of them

    will you sell them?

    will you keep them?

and your like a pro at this!!!

what age do you thing to sell them at?

and what age can you change the beding at

  • Are those live worms in that food bowl?

I've never seen that before. I'm not critiscing, i'm just saying...

I've never seen that before. Do they actually eat them?

  • they love 'em ;]

  • im pretty sure the worns are for protain for the mom

  • Cool! I'll try it. Mine like dry pasta and stale bread and stuff like that. Btw, I changed my name, but i'm still gerbilsrock001!

  • gerbils like most rodents are omniwores. worms have high protein. good for a baby gerbil

  • thats is so cute

  • is carefresh bedding ok to use with baby gerbils?

  • my friend uses it and she has no problems so i guess yes. i personally dont like carefresh too much, but thats just a personal preferance.

  • do they eat mealworms?>mmm looks crunchy and tasty lol JK

  • some people say that deepfried mealworms are very tasty xD

  • did you make day 19? lol there cute but will you make more vids you should put ema ll in one big vid

  • no i never made a day 19. what do you mean exactly by ' put them all in one vid '? do you mean all the seperate ' day by day ' video's in one vid. or do you mean put all my gerbils in one vid?

  • make another video again plz

  • ive got a lot of litters right now. if i have time, ill put them all in a vid ok. im not making any promises though!

  • hey i put a vid up for you! all my 8 litters are in it. though the day after filming those litters, i got another litter! (Zatch & Moenja had 3 HUMONGOUS pups while all the other pups were still in with mommy and daddy ^^)

  • oh ok. I never knew that. Amazing how ya learn sumfin every day :P

  • are they mealworms I see in there?

  • yes they are :]. vital for the pups developement and growth. same goes for the parents btw (especially nursing mommy's)
