  • That was a most contradictory ad...do thing simple even though the world has changed to make it easier to get a much much bigger effect...but lets not because we're lazy...

  • THIS??... i bet this one is better :) hehehe watch?v=v8o5soqdCj8&feature=g-u

  • So what does the Car look like? Im confused I thought it would be a Car Zoo

  • The negative aspects of the example should have been exaggerated to a greater extent.

With this, 110 of the seconds completely contradicts the final 10 second key message that most people probably never got to.

  • So meta!

  • So basically the core message is: "Because you might make the world a different place, stop trying new things." BRILLIANT!

Excuse me while I throw away all my books and my kindle and find a local hermit lady to tell me about medicine.

  • I'd have stuck with the social media campaign!

  • This is great. Shows that we should never neglect the basics in marketing.

  • This is stupid.

  • this works only with clients who wants to believe they still understand the business

  • when he drops the newspaper I feel old.

  • ....what?

  • wow. print is so dead.

  • ahahahahahaha

  • Meh...

  • bullshit

  • Hilarious! :-D

  • luddites

  • ...And where did they choose to place thier "Anti-social network" ad?

    YouTube!

    Epic Fail :)

  • fake

  • #FAIL

  • #FAIL

  • They do have a point... How many here are not in advertising or such??

  • Pay attention everyone who is watching this.

If print was the most powerful way to reach the target audience; why bother making a video about it?

Seems like an effective, disruptive, viral video to me, that contradicts what it says at the end. It's a clever ad for the agency as a "pattern interrupt" in this case.

  • but i'm watching this on youtube.

  • @anotherjoshua so true!

  • DI are actually making fools of the traditional ad agencies. According to DI they spend too much money on creating events (the zoo, the zebra toys, etc.), they don't understanding social media and they haven't realized the need for a strategy and analysis of the channels in relation to the target groups. The video is a show-off for the strength of social media - only that you need to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve with your invested efforts and money.

  • Sue me

  • The irony I first read about this on google reader after some people I were following recommended it and I ended up watching it on a social media site.

  • isses amalia vilket slöseri med tid och resurser.

  • They should have used an ostrich, not a zebra. They stick their head in the sand and ignore the world around them too.

Dagens Industri, like most printed dailies, will be f-ked in a matter of years if not months. And that's the daily news...

  • Great satire.

  • ehm... doesn't this ad prove that social media work better than old fashioned regular print campaigns?

  • @bennijolink Yes, if your target group is ad agencies :)

  • @bennijolink Absolutely I am just checking every step to promote my web!

we like your style (dot ) net

    cheers!

  • @bennijolink It proves that the social media lead to the product itself becoming obsolete, making the campaign a campaign for the campaign. So I heard you like campaigns :D

  • Westbound & Up production? Looks like it...

  • Känns som en Cannes vinnare.

  • go zoo yourself..

  • Everything thats wrong about advertising.

  • Ha ha ha ha...i like.

  • AHHAAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA genius

  • hahaha

  • HAHAHAA

  • Cool Zebra's huh Alfred?

  • Very funny.

  • Bästa print promotion 2010

  • Yeaahhhh ! That 's our men !

  • Lite smårolig film. Men seriöst, är det verkligen printkampanj som är det bästa sättet att nå sin målgrupp? Nah, don't think so.

  • @Joinsimon för att nå DI's målgrupp är det nog det, tidningen finns ju i mängder på alla industriföretag :)

  • fantastisk idé.

  • A Zebra in Stockholm

  • lysande
