  • This is great music. It should be mainstream.

  • I'm sure these other guys in the band have heard enough about Kyuss. But hey? What were you asking? Playing with John. Of course, he is the sound of Kyuss. I guess you signed up for it. I know i would have.

  • i think slo burn had more potential than kyuss

  • works for me

  • oh yeaaaah, he is the best singer ever

  • Comment removed

  • Well, oh yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!

  • Fuck yeah !

  • god save the sons of Kyuss

  • "I know I clicked like but I'll click it a second time!"

  • these guys are badasses

  • I fuckin love this song

  • I quite like how 'shit' this sounds. It's got a sick garage jam vibe about it.

  • Wow, like it a LOT !

  • interesting comment moist...you've got me wondering who the best singer to never have lived is though . . .

  • wtf is this shitty version? could anyone possibly make it sound any shittier? ruining this amazing song

  • damn great song

what effect is the guitarist using in the intro?

  • i like josh homme, but is voice sucks monkey balls compared to jonh.....i just want that people like Getitinya0069 would not exist anymore

  • meh, overrated vocalist alongside overrated music backup :P

  • @Getitinya0069 hmmm overrated musically yes, the musicians in this band kind of sucked. But John Garcia is one of the greatest rock vocalists of all-time, right up there with Bon, Iggy, Jim Dandy, Ozzy, etc. His skills just weren't properly utilized in Kyuss & Slo-Burn, but they were in Unida & Hermano!

  • @ConiferTreez I'll agree with that much Conifer ;) Well said. I'm sorry to be so sarcastic to someone's FAV band an' all :D :P But heyy STEVEX858 --> I'm also sorry for the existence of people over the age of 26, but they do exist, get used to it. :)

It's all been done before -- and done better for that matter. If you want to hear innovative --checkout some Old 'Chicago'. (another underrated band)

  • Great song, can't stop listening!

  • ca envoie du bois quand meme! cette chanson ne me quitte jamais tout à fait, tellement parfaite!

  • Seriously good... and if it isn't your style who cares... no need to wage wars between Oz & the States, flip a chill pill, smoke a bong... and stfu already...

  • I love Garcia but I either love Homme......what can I do??!!! I can Slo burn my self :D

  • SLoo Buuuurn

  • perfect.

  • ITS KOOL!!!!!!!

  • Perfect Song!

  • Some of you don't deserve to be able to hear sounds.

Fans can either listen to a musicians music, or shut the fuck up.

Don't like it? Then make your own music !

You guys have no right to judge someone elses work.

    Music is freedom of expression.

  • Judgment is a free expression as well. I understand you're a teenager, but criticism has existed since the dawn of time. And some might argue we wouldn't be where we are without it, if everyone was content with what they were fed. When you grow up, you're realize this. Just try and refrain from posting such inane, stereotypical mindless drivel until that time. Thanks.

  • @SnakeTheFox actually i m open for any kind of trolling.... i just got tired of people accusing artists like josh for not doing the same stuff they became famous with for their entire life.

  • You mean writing pop music rock for high school lunchtables? Homme had talent at a point but like most good artists he's gotten old and the angst has worn off, so now he spends his days pumping out flavorless junk.

  • have you ever tried to defend your position without patronizing your opponent ?

why don we get closer to the topic.... i d like to understand why qotsa is so boring and old and terribly sofisticated and grown up to you..... just try to argue about it and while you answer you will notice there is nothing you can come up with but your personal taste.

I m gonna turn on Rated R now and i will enjoy its wide range of musical influences and its dry minimalistic production. hoping to hear from you !

  • Comment removed

  • ">boring" Because it all sounds like overproduced factory-made pop music. It has no artistic merit.

">old" Why would QotSA be old?

    ">sofisticated" Sophisticated? it isn't.

">grown up" It isn't that either.

In case you haven't noticed, pretty much everything boils down to personal taste. What I'm arguing is that your personal tastes are trashy and that mine are educated and developed.

  • @SnakeTheFox if it all comes down to personal taste y are u trying to push your views onto someone else

if your musical taste was educated and developed you would know not to talk about artists the way you do

    are you jealous ?

do you not play an instrument?

try the triangle it might take someone like you a while but youll get there

  • @troppolocco I love how in your last comment you're criticizing me for personal attacks, and then immediately do the same here. I'd call you a hypocrite but you're from Ausfailia so that, and assorted other personality quirks, is to be expected.

  • @SnakeTheFox oh seriously can you just go somewhere else and get a life you loser, who gets uppity about grammar and punctuation on YOUTUBE COMMENTS

the world needs less people like you man

    and slo burn fuckin rules

  • @lemlemlemlem Oh look, it's someone a step below Ausfailians on the intellectual food-chain, a NEW ZEALANDER. Know what the world needs less of? Idiots with shitty punctuation, grammar, and message posting comments on youtube. There's a reason the rest of the internet looks at Youtube as an absolute cesspool.

  • @SnakeTheFox homo

  • @Kyussist oh please please, qotsa is the most boring post-Kyuss band and Josh is the least musically talented member of Kyuss, these are plain & simple facts.

  • @ConiferTreez go fuck yourself.

  • @SnakeTheFox Hommes is different because he can be you idiot you couldnt put out that shit if your life depended on it the kid is right all you can do is personally attack someone stick to the point why would your opinion count over someone elses

even though it might be too late you will grow up and realise you have been very wrong for a long time

  • @troppolocco Is punctuation a concept that is entirely foreign to you, or what? "Hommes is different because he can be you idiot" What? I'm not even sure what you're trying to say, in between your horrible grammar and punctuation. Why don't you get off the internet, and go to school, and then try typing that up again.

  • @troppolocco lol all he is saying is that qotsa are the worst post-kyuss band, which is true.

  • Some people are talking about there being a cleaner cut of this track.. i think this version sounds just how i like em'

  • Comment removed

  • i love slo burn as much as i love unida and kyuss

  • GARCIA IS THE KING!!!!

  • Homme was 97% Kyuss ! He even instructed John on how the lyrics he wrote should be sung!!!

  • @SCOFF75 come on man...garcia has such a unique way of singing (fucking kick-ass btw!!)...you don't wanna tell me that garcia was "3 % Kyuss" :-)

    kyuss all the fucking way

  • No greenthumb007 it works out 1% ; ) Don't get me wrong I LOVE Kyuss and I really like the way Garcia sings but what I believe is that Josh Homme was the genius behind the addictive adrenalin sound of kyuss!!! Ok you can get the Garcia sound in another band but without the talent of homme you will never get a hard on!!!!!

  • @SCOFF75 Actually, Brant Bjork & Nick Oliveri was the reason for the maniacal adrenaline fueled sound of Kyuss that you so love. Josh was better at structuring, but when it came to musical skills he was easily the worst and the most boring to watch live. Then when Scott came in, he became the most talented, entertaining musician in the band. Garcia really didn't have much input at all, it was mainly Brant & Josh

  • @greenthumb007 Brant was at least 60%

  • @SCOFF75 Josh Homme was 50% of the band. He was also the least talented, musically speaking. Great songwriter, but when it came to chops Brant & Scott shitted on him.

  • Nice

  • I love this fuckin´song. perfect for chilling. Slo Burn rocks out the stones

  • wow this song is slightly too slow!

anyone know where i could buy it on cd or lp? or anyone who is willing to share a lossless version of it... thanx

  • GARCIA ES DIOSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I never heard Garcia perform in any bad song...he must be unique ;)

  • well i dont like ALL of the hermano-songs... as i do like all of the kyuss and slo burn stuff

  • Nothing short of brilliance, Its a shame they don't release all of the Slo Burn songs on one CD or something, that would be nice to add to the collection.

  • sick band

  • Look up a band from Dallas called Clutch

  • Clutch is an awesome band

  • 5/5

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • epic

  • john garcia..kyuss and slo burn..awesome stoner rock

  • this kinda reminds me of Mother Love Bone

  • Pure stoner, awesome song. Btw QOTSA is not the same music as Kyuss, Slo Burn, Unida or Hermano. In my opinion they play another kinds of music and comparing them isn't good idea. But... STONER 4LIFE AND JOHNNY'S BANDS 4EVER!!!

  • bad muthafugga song thx

  • Josh Homme is god with Kyuss, with QOTSA, or alone. He's the best

  • Josh homme is not a Dick!

  • this song is like crack

  • motherfucking john garcia lets smoke a blunt together please

  • this is fuckin great.. mmmmmm

  • i like

    i love

    i need

    i am

  • Didn't Josh Homme cal lthis band lame?

    Ah, well I disagree :D

  • Garcia is the important...

  • Wouldn't say so, he is very inspiring to me, but he was better with Kyuss yeah.

  • True, he is a dick. And QOTSA are nothing compared to kyuss or slo burn.

  • and also unida..i think...although less

  • You're right! QOTSA could lick Slo Burns heels. And the fact that they got so popular shows of poor quality which the ignorant masses apreciate.

  • dude he wrote half of the slo burn demo...

and he was the mastermind behind this kind of sound...

so you can lick his heels

  • You're a fucking tool tool shut the fuck up QotSA kicks ass. Why do you think Kyuss was so badass? Josh Homme, and Brant Bjork were the main song writers and they carried on after Brants departure so I think Homme wins the influence battle. On top of that Queens of the Stone Age never fail to make badass music that is just as one of a kind and unique. Its such a shame you can't just sit back and enjoy the music, you have to bitch. I think you are a part of the so called "ignorant masses".

  • Qotsa ain't bad but it's like apples and pears comping them with Kyuss! But i like Garcia 'cus hes in a way more unique than Homme, who plays straight up rock'n'roll and move on from the whole stonerrock-scene. Which brings me back to what i wrote first.

  • Yeah....you are definitely not that bright. Puny r-tard trying to make a valid point. I must agree with R.Anthem69. Kyuss is nothing without Homme. so ...yeah...put your helmet on and have a seat...you silly little r-tard.

  • Kyuss would be fine without Homme. It's obvious he wasn't the major creative input for the band, they easily could've survived without him. This song is testament to that. Also, saying "r-tard" only makes you look very unintelligent. It's like an insult my 8 year old nephew would dream up. Grow up, kid.

  • sorry snake, but homme WAS the kyuss-mastermind. just look at the song-credits in the cd-booklets: for example homme wrote 9 of 11 songs on "...and the circus leaves town"...

  • @johannuli

his life is music and he´s good

  • @johannuli right, and ...and the circus leaves town was their most lackluster, unfocused album because it was lacking Brant's songwriting skills maniacal intensity. Josh Homme is a great songwriter, but was easily the most untalented MUSICIAN in Kyuss. Brant & Scott shit on him when it came to skills.

  • i disagree... i cant hear in this song a total psychostoned guitar neither an adictive beat, i just hear an average stoner rock band whit possibly the best singer to ever live...

  • Then you and I are hearing a different song.

  • Also, consider that this is one of the poorest quality youtube uploads I've ever heard. Get the album elsewhere, it sounds infinitely better when it isn't this abysmally low quality as on this video.

  • If Homme was the mastermind for Kyuss then why is Queens of the Stone Age such glorified Red Hot Chili Peppers-level pop music sounding crap? Pretty much blows that theory out of the water.

  • hey hey hey leave the Red Hot Chili Peppers out of this...they are in another league all together. As is Queens of the Stone Age which started off sounded like Kyuss but musicians have to change and evolve...great musicians make music for themselves and if you liked it then you went along for the ride, If you don't like it I don't think they would give a damn. Bad musicians make music for money and to be liked... imo none of the bands u listed do that.

  • As cute as your naive opinion on Kyuss and musicians in general is, it's undeniable that QotSA isn't anything close to as artistic of powerful as Kyuss ever was. You can try and deny that on the grounds of subjectivity, or personal taste, but that doesn't hide the fact that "total psychostoned guitar" is never present in QotSA. So either he was hardly the major creative influence for Kyuss, or he's really fallen far.

  • ....you're right about the absence of the psychostoned guitar but perhaps Homme didn't feel that Qotsa should be recognized for the same vibes that Kyuss gave off. In that case he hasn't fallen merely given Qotsa a vibe of its on...so you won't try to compare the two. He calls it robot rock so why should it be phsychostoned.

  • That's an awful lot of conjecture and speculation just to mask the obvious fact that Homme wasn't the major creative influence for Kyuss.

Of course QotSA fanboys are all up in these videos so posting this wont make any difference, anyway. Doesn't change the facts though.

  • Dear SnakeTheFox maybe its because Josh Homme understood more about creativity than you ? I can only quote him : " Heavy isnt equal distortion. " Comparing QOTSA to RHCP shows our never really got into any of their albums. They are a very various evolving Band like Faith No More or The Beatles where....... and RHCP are really predictable..... i ll close with another quote : " Dont criticize what you dont understand. "

  • Did you just discover music yesterday? You sound like a 15 year old. Heavy also doesn't equal pop music, and I have no idea what point that quote has when I never even mentioned distortion or "heavy" in general; just that QotSA sounds like shitty pop music made for 15 year old children (like yourself). The fact that the only two other brands you can bring up are Faith No More and The Beatles proves you live in some backwards country that only gets American music on cassettes from 10 years ago.

  • obvious troll is obvious

  • Not trolling, you meme spouting 15 year old.

    Also, Slayer sucks. Not trolling.

  • one album ≠ a band. And plus, I agreed with you.

  • @Moisterizerph5

    average?

    this is fucking amazing.

  • @Outlawstar615 Kyuss was nothing without any of the members. If Brant hadn't been there in the beginning it never would've happened, just like if they never nabbed Scott from the Obsessed, it would've died. Homme was just a member.

  • LOL@Your logic.

Popularity =/= Good nor bad. There's plenty of great popular bands as there is pure shit.

The irony of you calling anyone ignorant is absolutely fucking hilarious.

  • their self titled album is pretty kick ass

  • YES!

  • kind of makes me think of the hidden song on the circus leaves town, the one half an hour after spaceship landing

  • Same here, must be the harmonising voices.

    Both great songs.

  • John Garcias Mountain Moving Vocals

  • ahhh i used to sing this to little John as a child.

  • I laughed so hard when i read this comment then i saw who posted it, JohnGarciasMom LMAO

  • as you held him in your arms and nursed with with gin and blunts?

i still remember all those home videos of him and lil' scott reeder roller skating down the street laughing and making merryment while the poshest of hommies fiddled with his hair and told them to slow down running after them

    arms flailing.

  • alucardisdumb: you have got to be the alter ego of crystalmethsandwich

  • nah,im just lil' ol' me

  • hahaahhaahah

  • Great track! Why wasnt this on the orginal issue? mental!

  • yeah but is is toooooo short ;)

  • i love this song. soo good when stoned

  • Fuck it just still isnt Kyuss.

  • wenn ich schon den beginn höre schmecke ich die staubtrockene wüste einfach universeller klang
