Whenever I play with RPCs, I always bring along RFS-81. He is just a brilliant front-line fighter, even though he doesn't get the Monk Magic.
Which reminds me... I found out through a Dwarven Monk that you CAN have Damage Reduction above 100%. Make sure to pump up that VIT to munch on some insane DR!
What?! Isn't this where you find the vacuum pump for the tsunami gadget? Really useful when you hit the Rift.
