1:57-2:20 YES! Solid movement. Great pairing. Alex can do everythign but it sure does look damn good when they have someone that can almost match his control and talent.
Fosse is really hard to fully grasp and assimilate. And i think when Tyce talked about Fosse, and his style, it would the one thing Nigel and Mia would absolutely scrutinize.
imo, I think he did a great job. Especially if you put aside for a moment the Fosse influence and look at it as a broadway/jazz piece. It's a little reminiscent of Wade Robson's 'Ruby Blue' from last season. Which floored me. :D
Alex Wong is amazing...but I kinda have to agree with the judges. There wasn't anything slinky or gritty about that broadway piece. he just sorta did the moves (beautifully...but it was mechanical and clean rather than with pizazz and style)
