Drove out to this festival and combined it with a mountain bike trip throughout CA... What an incredible weekend... One of my highlights in my 14 years following this band.
Jesus, what a hack job. Love the way what's-his-name hacks up Mick Taylor's leads. All he has to do is copy Taylor and it would be fine, but he's completely incapable of it. What a bunch of incompetent posers. Good thing their fans smoke a lot of weed, it's the only way to make it tolerable.
@Tsugaheterophylla - Is your argument that Stone's fans don't smoke pot? Or if they do smoke pot, it is only to make their music "tolerable"?

It is one of those primitive impulses which is probably rooted in primate sociology. You might be able to get over it all the same; give it a try.

@Tsugaheterophylla Great song, but there are a lot of vids on Youtube of this song getting the hack treatment by Mr. Keith Richards himself. It's not supposed to be polished. This version is actually better than when the Stones do it live and Phish played it only once, while the Stones played it nearly every show for 30 years. That may be part of why their versions get so flat. They ought to adopt the Phish approach to performing.

Phish is great but this video is terrible. The sound quality is awful and you can barely see.
