What an interesting coincidence. I wanted to see once more the live version of Prince, Sheila E. et al. doing this song, but could never find a complete rendition. Instead, I discovered this lovely delight. As I'd heard of the Eels by listening to Radio Paradise, I reasoned I would give the video a viewing and am I ever glad I did. A really nice coda by the strings section, too.

I was looking for the Prince song, and instead I ended up here, watching Mr. Nowheresville. I *love* "A Man Called E"...one of my favorite CDs. So this is a real treat, and I'm tickled about to death.

Totally the exact same accidental experience (purpose may be different).

I put this song on a mixed tape for a chick, and for some reason searched for it by full name, because I wanted to see if Prince did it live, and I found this diamond of a gem. Bravo Mark Oliver Everett. I love the direction towards the end where the violins add extra melodies, and he points to them with his axe: "Take it home babes in pajamas wielding $40,000 violins."
