Nevertheless, this guy is MORBIDLY obese and definitely needs to lose far more than 20 pounds as one person suggested.

James having lifted weights explains a lot. High intensity training expends a lot of calories so it enabled him to eat a lot without turning into a pig. And even though he doesn't go to the gym, he's probably still got a lot of muscles left, which explains his high metabolism and why he carries his weight so well.

I think I'm a bit different from Modasser, I was skinny, but as my aunties and uncles started fatting me up, i never felt sick looking at the food, which causes me to eat excessively and gain about 7 to 9 kg a year.
Modasser wasn't very sensitive about it but he was right. Eating that much food is a form of greed. He takes food from his children's plates even before they'd finished! I mean, he's a nice guy and I'm sure he doesn't mean to be like that. He just has a problem that needs to be fixed.

It also wasn't polite to leave Modasser during the eating session. Especially when he asked him not to. Modasser was having just as hard of a time as James.

I love this reality show wish it showed here in America. The only thing i hate about it is that it shows Americans in their home states. Not only does that make the US look like we're a bunch of gluttens but makes their state look bad as well. I'm from KY and have never seen a morbidly obese person. Maybe if it was shown here people would change their food intake. I hate being known as the obese country.

@natashkin1 I totally agree he's fit and has a British accent - two pluses! However, that doesn't prevent me from recognizing his face is not so appealing.

Modasser is quite rude. Even if James is not coming to terms with things 100% he has aknowledged he has a problem by coming on the show so Modasser doesnt need to take it on himself to tell him about all his faults. Thats Jessen's job. Hes like a nasty child.

@somethingillregret They're both in denial. And Modasser isn't rude. I really felt like I had to say something because it annoys me how everyone always attacks the superskinny in the comments.

@TheJazzaccount I've noticed people attack super skinnies too and thats not my point its not about whos big and whos small. I understand where you are coming from but I just have a problem with how hes saying things not what hes saying. He's trying to help but being tactless. The supersizer isnt half so rude in his comments despite the fact they both have a problem. Saying "pure fucking greed" is rude when he could have said it in a far nicer way.

@somethingillregret That was part of his problem. He used to view over-eating as greed, but realized later that that wasn't the right way to look at it. The supersizer had misconceptions as well. It also wasn't polite to leave Modasser during the eating session. Especially when he asked him not to. Modasser was having just as hard of a time as James.

@rrw070193 Manorexia: A term that has been used to refer to anorexia nervosa in males. Anorexia nervosa affects up to 1% of women at some point in their lives and is much less common in men. Males represent about 10% of people suffering from anorexia nervosa. * Pretty sure its the common definition. Where as anorexia is a word explaining female. Sorry i didn't create the word.

I love this reality show wish it showed here in America. The only thing i hate about it is that it shows Americans in their home states. Not only does that make the US look like we're a bunch of gluttens but makes their state look bad as well. I'm from KY and have never seen a morbidly obese person. Maybe if it was shown here people would change their food intake. I hate being known as the obese country.

its sad to see people like this. i cant be mad at them or take their side because i dont know their stories. they dont do it on purpose obviously! they want to change so they came to the feeding clinic for help. dont start saying im obese or anoxeric because im neither. nor am i "fat" or "skinny". i am a performer and i somewhat like my body, im in the process in toning it up a bit but i really hope all goes well for james and modasser and i hope they see the error in their ways.

Am I the only one that likes Modasser? Everything he's saying is true. I've developed the habit of overeeating the past year and gained 20 lbs as a result. I'm not yet overweight, but everything he says and eats makes me want to stop, Its motivating - I can, I have the willpower. He's right - its greedy.

i agree james has a serious problem, maybe the worst on the show ever, and he is in denial. but madasa just seems cruel! i wouldnt have finished the "snack" either but he doesnt have to say such cruel things about james.

@punkrastagirl96 It's not disgusting that he'd be overwhelmed by those massive amounts of food. It's not normal to eat a burger and fries AND chicken nuggests for a pre-lunch snack, and after such a large breakfast too. It's disgusting, and if you can't deal with that, that is you're problem.
