The SAS are good but they are by far not the best. I have trained with some of their members back in the late 80's and while they are good they aren't qualified to carry a Waffen SS or Delta Force member's jock strap.

If memory serves me correct, the first of the western allies to square off with the SS in the west following the invasion of Normandy were the Canadians.
The Canadians got their noses bloodied but they also inflicted some serious punishment upon these so called professional soldiers. Towards the end of the war it seemed like every country involved in the Normandy invasion were kicking SS ass.

That said, I still think that the SAS are the best special forces in the world. I can think of the top five as being the SAS, SBS, Foreign Legion, Israeli special forces, US Navy SEALS. I haven't listed them in any particular. They all do a fantastic job.

I know the USSR took a large chunk of Poland and even Finland, but no I've never seen any evidence of them planning to invade Europe en masse beyond the Eastern states stipulated as under the Soviet sphere under the secret protocols of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, and it seems absurd as their army was essentially non-functional at the time.

Infact early in the war when all German forces were in Poland the French could have marched to Berlin with no opposition. Most German units marched on foot and used horse and cart to carry their equipment. The wehrmacht was not a an overly modern outfit outside of the elite Panzer Divisions. As for the SS their battle record is patchy at best. By 1943 the allies

Both these are significantly lower than German casualties and what I am about to say will be rubbished due to the Nazi fanatics that pollute the comment boards of videos like this.... @ginjaninja1988 i'm a belgian and i know that we had 650.000 men onder arms. that was nearly 9 procent of the entire population at that time. No single country had such an hige percentage. Our soldiers only retreated because the british and french did. And at the end we were betrayed by those englich to cover their retreat to the channel( we didn't knew that). We fought for 18 days, more of our soldiers died in the last 3 days covering that retreat then in 15 previous days.

Although civilians that did fight were called Volksturm, anyway the Nazi's were democratically elected - they had the mandate, so any children that did fight just showed you how much they beleived in anti communism and Germany
