This video brings back many memories for me from when I started dancing and learning the neck movements. My guru used the very same technique where we put our fingers by our eyes. And I definitely remember starting off with moving by entire body instead of my neck in the Alarippu...haha....Anyways, it's really a great video and it's definitely very helpful for those who are just starting out. Keep it up! :)
im really intrested in dance.....i was nt thot the shlokas and all....... after ceing ths it tends me to go more deaper in dancing.... since im in class 12 i had jst paused it for a while.. and nw bcos of ur videos.. im dancing at house itself.... agreat thankss to u.................. i expect still more videos of urs..
@the147break , Keep working on it. It may take about 6mnths to a year for a beginner student to be able to do it effortlessly. You can try looking at the mirror and practice.
@nandananjali The ardharmmi is also used in Odissi, but there are neck and face movements that are used along with tribhangi bheda in Odissi. So, thus, this rule is mostly applicable in Bharatanatyam. Odissi is different.
Thanks. This is helpful and very informative. I enjoy watching your videos and relearning bharatnatyam. Now I have a chance to completely learn this dance style.
thanks this really helps, your pretty good at this , <3
