The flashing button does not mean they are waiting to talk, the button will stop flashing when they are about to say something to you. You can put up to 99 sides of the same thing on a sandwich by entering the 9key twice on the number area then the product. That carhop that answered was obviously a little slow because you were speaking perfectly normal and she still couldn't understand you or get your order right.

I'd like to point out the first mistake here. This guy expects 20 orders of bacon on his sandwich. First, that many pieces of bacon would make the burger too big for the bag. Second, to get an order that ridiculous is not to be taken seriously. If I was the cook to have cooked the bacon (which takes about 6 minutes per assembled piece), he would've gotten more than he bargained for.

And I also work at Sonic, and the way bacon is cooked, we cook two slices together, wrapped with each other, so 1 order of bacon is two slices, so that is why he was charged only 10 slices.
