  • Recovery from being humiliated: Until everybody forgets.

  • Discombobulate .

  • @Bebireal discombobulate

  • other fight scene: /watch?v=HwveEq9zIdo

  • 1:00 THIS IS SPARTA!!

  • Wing Tsun?!

  • Well, yes, he is smart, but that wasn't all smartness. While it takes a certain degree of intelligence to predict that, you also need to know body language. Holmes didn't get that skill from being an intellectual, he got it from being an actor.

  • full physical recovery 6 weeks

    full psychological recovery 6 months

Capacity to spit back of head neutralized!

  • discombobulate.. as a kid i tried that once, but my mother said i shouldnt.

  • 0:36 to learn

  • Discombobulate; for god's sake don't forget to discombobulate!

  • talk about beast mode

  • thumbs up for quoting the video guys.

  • Whats the music to this video? If someone knows it please message me

  • @Baggman123 ROcky Road to Dublin-

  • Brains beat brawn every time.

  • Respect to WIng Chun!!!

  • thats how i do it . . .

  • tandeta jak huj

  • TOTAL GUY RITCHIE, reminds me of SNATCH

  • I wish there were more fight scenes like this in the movie D:

  • @sliverofshadows475 i totally agree

  • Good show chap.

  • I love it! He's amazing x3 And this soundtrack is ideal......Lovely ^ ^

  • What song is this?

  • @cwagner9494 the rocky road to dublin by the dubliners

  • its cool i try this My friend was on sick leave

  • "Capacity to spit at back of head....neutralized."

Classic!! Broken jaw would make it difficult.

  • btw, just before this scene, why does he let himself get beaten the crap into by this guy?

  • @Jefflebowski95 adrenaline... but knowing holmes... he was prolly reading the guy...

  • @Jefflebowski95 Tiring him out, I think ;}

  • @Jefflebowski95

just toying with him like a cat toys with a mouse when it knows it can just kill and eat it anytime it wants.

  • @Jefflebowski95 He didnt do kick technics and stuff like the "dazed fist", because it was a fair box fight and he is a gentleman, but after he got split, he need to teach this guy a lesson ;)

  • Interesting, that the "real" scene has no much to do with the shown one in slow motion.

Only the first 2 strikes are still equal.

  • @TheIncredibleCG Granted there are minor imperfections in the fight (but it's still a movie and i like the scene very much). The elbow hit does lack in power, and if executed has a chance of personal injury. But IMO it will be more than sufficient to daze the target(i'am going to see wheter i can implement it). The punch with the fingers is also dangerous, but only if the make contact first. If you turn the wrist enough, knuckels will make first contact. But your right that it isn't the best way :-)

  • I love this fight scene, but did anyone notice that in the slow mo he uses his left elbow to weaken the jaw, but then in the real time he uses his left hand and not the elbow? not that im complaining i just found it a small miscalculation lol

  • Sherlock has the same psychometric profile as Hannibal Lecter! KILL THE RUDE!!

    }:-D

Yes, kill them. Don't eat them. They probably have AIDS.

  • God bless you Skitts TV, I was looking for the song ;-)

  • This guy could fight in UFC

  • I like the slow motion bit!!!

    LOL IT'S COOL

ROBERT DOWNEY JR IS THE BEST FIGHTER

  • I love his moves but more over i like the song in the Background. Could anybody tell me which it is or which genere of music its called?

  • @Nyadd rocky road to dublin - the dubliners genre is irish folk

  • Now shatter.

  • this is a cut version of the full fight.

  • @Darklarik Yeah, as I recall in the full fight, after fracturing the guy's jaw, Holmes lands another blow that completely dislocates it.

  • Discombobulate.

  • it missed where he dislocated his jaw :O

  • What is that combat art?

  • @bembenqwerty it's called bartitsu

  • @Samica2093 Thanks

  • @bembenqwerty The art of absolutely fucking smashing someone...

  • @bembenqwerty its the combat art called being a fucking smart guy...seriously if your that smart and just got a little strength in your arms its easy to win a fight

  • 1. Distract Target 2. Block his blind jab 3. Counter with cross to left cheek 4. Discombobulate 5. Block wild haymaker 6. Weaken right Jaw 7. Now fracture 8. Break cracked Ribs 9. Heel kick to diaphram Summary: Ears ringing, Jaw Fractured, 3 ribs cracked, 4 broken, Diafram hemorageing. Physical recovery 6 weeks, Psychological recovery, 6 months. Capacity to spit at back of head, Neutrilized. This gives a new dimension to the word SMART!
  • @willsmith203 its hollywood, dont try that in real life please

  • @willsmith203 i think you left out a few steps

  • @willsmith203 y, its called genius :D

  • HOLY CRAP I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

  • yup loved the scene.

    word of the day: Discombobulate

  • Sherlock holmes... the 2nd Juck Norris ^^

  • I'm not gunna lie, I felt de-virginized after watching this movie.

    I like the cinematography too.

  • RIP Chuck Norris. This Guy is Overkill!

  • Wing Tsun!

  • A Hit is missing in this version :o

  • @pumableu Yeah, after fracturing the guy's jaw, doesn't he then land another hit which completely dislocates his jaw?

  • owned

  • i prefer the law of Bruce Lee."Dont think,j ust feel"

  • Pure win. I love the slow-mo fight planning sequences in this movie.

  • ...DAWM!!

  • This is not Wing Chun. This is bare knuckle boxing

  • @kelvinx65 , it is Wing Chun according to the movie info, Robert Downey's instructor was a consultant for this fight scene

  • @WingChunLova the character is a bareknuckle boxer

  • "capacity to spit at back of head: neutralized"

  • he uses a little wing chun

  • @cjdvingtsun The fight coordinator for the movie was a wing chun instructor I think

  • @ButchaPete He was his name was Ip Chun son of Ip man the man who brought wing chun out from behind the curtain to hong kong. Ip chun is considered grand master of wing chun. He currently teaches in hong kong. He is around the age of 80 plus and has over 100,000 students over his time most of them being non- chinese.

  • i have the itunes extras for this movie and they said sherlock holmes studied soemthing called veritsu. is that a true fighting style? or fake? cause i didnt find it on wikipedia

  • @indyfan29 Ba-Ritsu. A martial art created and used only for this film. I don't think anyone could use it like Sherlock Holmes in the real world, so it could possibly be categorized as a fake martial arts.

  • I fucking love ROBERT DOWNEY JR. ...pause... no homo

GUY RITCHIE & JUDE LAW are cool as shit also

  • that would have sucked if someone took that napkin when he wasnt looking

  • Capacity to spit at back of head-Neutralized lol that is amazing!

  • Wow!! I read a LOT of sherlock holmes but this was amazing!

  • ha ha ha

full physical recovery : 6 weeks

full psychological recovery : 6 months

  • Great, this is Wing Chun.

    See Wing Chun Guandma.

  • Discombobulate.

  • Te he.... Discombobulate :)

  • the fight is missing some parts

  • one of the best movies ever.

  • that's why it's called a movie.

  • One of the worst fight scences I saw for a long time. With those punches you not even could make it hurt more than 4 minutes.

  • @TheIncredibleCG wow, you dont know fighting at all.

Look at the muscle shockwave in the punch on the cheek, thats probably gonna crack your cheek bones (which is pretty fragile). Try getting that slap in the ears, it'll compress the liquid in your inner ears which keeps you in balance, fazing you. A blow with the elbow to the jaw follow by a punch there could dislocate it, and kicking the diaphragm could stop your breathing pattern (also gonna give you alot of hiccups)

  • @p4cm4n182

When you would look at a slow motion recording of a slap on the cheek you could see a much more intensive shockwave and there wouldn't be any real injury at all. A shockwave itself says less than nothing. I studied martial arts and can say that those attacks are nothing a professional would fear. Of course it would hurt, what he did, but the punching style itself is inefficient. Just as the rest.

  • @TheIncredibleCG : I disagree the headshots are more or less focused on the joint of the jaw making dislocation or breaking possible. The punches are put out from the shoulder and turned in by the body.= force multiplier. After the second counterattack(discombobultae :-p), the confusion will make certain muscels in your body relax making you more vunerable. Also the hits on the floating ribs could crack them and the jumpkick centermass will do serious damage.Coming from 10y jiu jitsu expierence

  • @Wolverine11alpha I dont want to bring a discussion to this point, but Jiu Jitsu has not much to do with this style of fighting.

Whoever knows how to punch could have broke 3 rips and his jaw after 2, maximum, 3 punches.

The art is to hit him.

Not to make damage, when your hitting.

When you hit so much times and the enemy is still able to fight, your simply bad.

  • @TheIncredibleCG I know jiu jitsu doesn't have any releation to this fighting style,I was just reacting to the fact that your first comment underestimated the damage these moves can do. I know from expierence(because we don't limit ourselves to just jiu jitsu, mixed up with some elements of various other sport include tae-kwondo,krav-maga,...) that even low powerd shots on the points that were attacked in the film will hurt. And whith full strenght will do damage. That's what i meant to explain

  • @Wolverine11alpha its ok. I also watched a few of your vids and my opinion is, that your knowledge is clearly more then useful.

Those hits can definitely hurt, but in my opinion the martial arts aspect the movie tries to create is not reached.

the elbow strike for example is the biggest joke i saw for years.

In that is no weight and he moves his arm bad enough to hurt himself.

Also that he hits with the fingers, not with the knuckles makes it clear, that the actor has simply no idea what he does

  • this movie was so good i was a little confused but at the end it all fit in to place but over all good movies with awesome fight scenes

  • Comment removed

  • agreed.

  • I don't know why people say this movie sucked. Maybe it's because they never saw or payed attention to the fight scenes? Anyway, this movie is just BADASS simple as that.

  • this is my favorite scene in the movie, not because of the fight, but because of at the end he mistakes eye medicine for a drink and drinks it lol

  • When he acted out on what he had planned, it looked like he weakened the left jaw instead of the right. I may be mistaken. :)

  • Okay please ignore my previous post, I watched it again and saw the cross cut. Sorry. :)

  • Yeh, i noticed it isnt perfect too, like in the slo mo the guy uses his left arm for the wild haymaker, but at the end he used his right....other vids of this on youtube seem to have the correct slo mo tho

  • Odd.

  • i watched it it was funny

  • How to lay an ass kicking by Sherlock Holmes.

  • They missed the best part!

  • Martial arts, and yes Yǒng chūn.

  • @leeleeleeleeleeleel1

Specifically it was Wing Chun Kung Fu (which Robert Jr. was already trained in) with some of Guy Ritchie's Jujitsu.

Sherlock Holmes' actual martial art was Bartitsu, a hybrid of Boxing, Savate, La Canne, Schwingen, Judo, and Jujutsu.

  • have this material arts name?

  • i love it how he does it slow mo then does it fast perfect

  • HAHA FAT MAN !!!!!!!!!!

  • guy ritchie was effing right for this film. i can relate to this fight scene. but what i do is i stare blankly pretending to be scared while im thinking about what to do then when i do it it's a bit different but same concept

  • When You do this "trick" with hitting in the ears, it makes You hear a weird beep in the head, and You feel really confused. We often make this move in the school... but only few people know how to make it correctly. It's good to know this move, enemy is really confused then :)

  • so love this movie and Robert Downey Jr. lol it's so cool how he plans it all out then does it

  • no that is true martial arts slowed down so morons can see it. in realty it makes no different who you are you got to now where its coming and plan ahead in other words checkmate.

  • I love rhis film :D

  • lol disconfobulate BAM!

  • I rly loves this film. Thanks for posting the name of the song, I was looking for it. Greetings from Spain :D

  • This is Filipino Kali.

  • @sebadboy actually it's Wing Chun Gung fu. Look up the fight choreographer's credentials. and in interviews Downey has even stated as such

  • @sebadboy I will at the caveat that He does appear to use FMA in the opening scene with the 2 sticks

  • "... Capacity to spit in back of neck; neutralized." XD Love that comment

  • I dunno... "...full physiological recovery: six months" sounds so much more badarse to me :P

  • lmfao yeah

  • When he does '' Now Fracture '' in slowmo he gives him a punch.. in normal speed it's a karate chop

  • @MrWaxBoy i dunno whhy but this video has parts missing. on one part, he hits the guy on the ribs.

  • The slo-mo part and the sped up version were different. I wonder if anyone noticed that?

  • slow mo = what he thinks of doing

real speed = what he does

  • Wing Tsun??? Kali??? Muai Thai???? Hallo , this is Great Britain. this is England. This is a boxing match , a tradional boxing match . A bare-nuckle boxing match!!!!British bare nuckkle Boxing is ther father of modern Boxing . It includes almost all forms off attack and has wrestling too. It is a completed martial art!!!! The sticks fighting merthods were in the movie cane de combat , a martial art from France...

  • sick fite sherlock battered him

  • In the books Sherlock knows Baritsu, but in the that fight scene that is clearly Wing Chun KungFu

  • Everyone discussing what martial art this is made me sad. You are all idiots. It doesn't matter.

  • This looks more like moi tai than jui jitsu.

  • First: Distract target. Now block his blind jab. Counter with cross to left cheak. Discombobulate. Dazed. Target will attempt wild haymaker. Weaken right jaw. Now fracture. Break cracked ribs. Healkick to diaphragm. In summary: ears ringing, jaw fractured, three ribs cracked, four broken? Diaphragm hemrashing. Full physical recovery: 6 weeks. Full physiological recovery: 6 months. Capacity to spit at back of head: neutralized. SO AWESOME!!!!!!

  • He got PWNED!

  • damn I gotta stop smoking weed so i can think as fast as this dude !! lol he really foocked him up !!

  • the guy ritchie's fight scenes are great *_*

  • theres some parts that is skipped through though..like dislocating his jaw entirely

  • The fighting is great, though I have to say all his thoughts that must have happend in seconds how to get this guy down are the highlight for me

  • Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlocks lord and creator, wrote in the book that Sherlock was a master of Boxing and Baritsu. Baritsus a Japanese wrestling style.

  • ok. thanks, S4ncheesy. Were you the laughing monkey that dropped out of silence school? Kidding.

  • Kinda, I was the kid that the teacher sent out of class for "disruption." But good play on words. It made me chuckle.

  • great scene

  • You left out "where did that come from?" lol

  • Hoppa! 1 - 0 for Sherlock!

  • Perfect fight, Perfect music, Perfect everything

You've got to love This movie!!!

  • One of the best scenes from a pretty decent film.

  • Thanks for name of this song, I just want to ask if somebody doesnt know it. Its great music

  • The Rocky Road to Dublin by The Dubliners is the song

  • awesome movie, great scene, very nice song indeed.

  • awesome fight !!

  • Where can I find the name of the music of these scene ? I love it !

  • @joloir It's "The rocky road to Dublin", an Irish folk song performed by The Dubliners. Glad to know someone likes it ;-)

  • i love the part after the fight in the movie (not in this video) where you hear some random voice say, "where the hell did THAT come from?!"

  • Is it me or does this look sort of like Wing Tsun?...You know; the form of the fists, the form of the attack....just saying...

  • I'm practicing wing chun, and I've noticed it as well.. his way of hitting does resemble it, as well as in the beginning

  • sherlcok holmes fighting style is a mix of boxing, jujitsu and judo with leg strikes, its called baritsu or some shit... its pretty sweet

  • Yeah, it's like MMA but focusing more on self defense rather than sport competition. Unfortunately, "The Fighting Art of Gentlemen" has been reported as a lost art. Kinda like August Silence School or Laughing Monkey.
