That video fails so much.
"Some classes of the human family are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable & low in their habits, wild & deprived of the blessings of the intelligence that is bestowed upon mankind. 0:00-0:43 is a presented theory about the origin of God which has a certain degree of logic to it if the beatitudes is worth a hill of beans.
1:01-1:05 it's again a proposed theory. "Worlds without number have I created" - Jesus Christ (Pearl of Great Price).
1:07- 2:27 sure. Really, it's going to come to the Judgment bar of Christ in the end. We can teach degrees of glory but it really just comes down to what manner of person you are in the end and in the eyes of your God.
Let me get this straight. The mormon faith is a fabrication of man, but Christianity isn't. Let me ask you this. By what method do you use to determine what religion is fake and which religion is true, considering God is unknowable.

@BaurakAle7 Chapter 47 of what book? John 1, 12,13 Yet to all who receive3d him, (Jesus) to those who who believe inhis name, he gave the right to become children of God, Children born not of natural descent, nor ofhuman decison or a husband's will, but born of God. The word became flesh and dwwlling among us, we have seen glory, the glory of the one and only, who came from the father, full of grace and truth.

@BaurakAle7 How on earth do you get that from Hebrews 1:1-2. It says nothing about there being no more Prophets and Apostles after Christ. If that was the case we wouldn't have the writings of Peter, John. James and Paul all who were authorized Apostles AFTER Christ's death and resurrection.
@godluvsmormons We believe in the Bible as far as it is corrected translated. We believe that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins. In what ways do we differ from other Christians except in the Book of Mormon and our belief in modern revelation?
@Eyresworld So if church doctrine is only found in the standard works then I take it you reject all of the Temple ordinances and teachings. Oops. True doctrine is whatever a true prophet teaches. The Members can reject true doctrine by not sustaining it in conference. It doesn't mean it's not true. The Lord can take away as well as give. The members today can only handle milk nit meat.

@Eyresworld: I'll go you one better: Anything not found in the 66 books of The Bible - is not God-breathed scripture. Therefore, The BoM, OGP, D&C are just the teachings of men. Joseph Smith testified of HIMSELF - therefore HIS testimony means nothing. Since the theology of Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, etc.refute God's Word in the Bible - they are false prophets.
Seriously man, the story of Christ dying on a cross and suffering for all of our sins is just as ridiculous as a young boy Joseph Smith seeing God. The point is, you can't prove either story. But, Mormons, as well as most Christians teach you to do good unto others. So what is your purpose in preaching against mormons? You a being a hypocrite. It's just like the pharisees.

that is and isn't accurate. LDS believe that ultimately everyone will be ressurected and inherit a heaven, but the wicked will suffer throughout the millenium. This guy is somewhat dishonest but I take it if he destroys the LDS church it's all the same to him.

I agree with you ... He has twisted this and has put it in his own words
You know...that even in a court of law, you have to hear both sides of the argument in order to present a case. it's easy to show one side and call it truth, but try opening up your minds and see the counterargument. try going to a fairlds site and find a scholarly defense. at least more scholarly than preying on people who don't know the story.
@GitanoRenegado im black so i guess im friggin dead, tho i dont remember me being turned black and thrown onto this planet.I dont remember squat..so ,am i born doomed?ive been nice to everyone during life so ..i Guess i wont get to see God....right?:(
It contradicts Mormon doctrine too: at least in the sense that it doesn't even exist AS doctrine. The video in question takes doctrinal speculation and claims that it is doctrine. However, for something to be doctrine in the Church, it requires the First Presidency of the Church (if a complete quorum, or the Twelve if not) to agree together and it must be sustained by the entire Church. Can anyone show evidence of any of these supposed "Mormon doctrines" going through that process?
@Godincrease It is not doctrine speculation. It is doctrine. From D&C, BofC. The living prophet speaks. The Mormon Polygamy Revelation stands unaltered. Can't say that of the BofM, D&C, or much of anything else in Mormonism. But it's essential nature as polytheistic and polygamous, its materialism and spiritualism are established
lol basically your saying that mormons are nice to people of other faiths and thats a bad thing? who cares if you think their faith is a lie by your beliefs.. I honestly think that people who go out of their way to attack another group its basically because down inside they are afraid of that group. my motto... if a person doesnt interfere with me then who cares.
It is not LDS teachings that GOD THE FATHER, HAD A FATHER.
This was merely an idea one of the prophets was thinking about cuz some guy probably asked them how to deal with this logic he came up with.
Most Mormons actually don't believe that Elohim had a father. PERIOD.
God is not the author of Chaos and Evil. God didn't always exist if this is the case. He is the foundation of the COSMOS, not CHAOS. Therefore, he did not create ALL EXISTENCE.
This vid made me laugh. It's true, matter can not be created or destroyed.....hmmm....Guess who else says that. Every single scientist today will tell you no different. God did not create something out of nothing and you're a fool if you think he did.
Aristotle disposed of this eternal progression idea years ago. If the regression goes on forever into history, then there is no 1st mover. If there is no 1st, then there is no 2nd. So on & so on until we reach our present situation. Causality must have a source in some kind of infinite eternal reality. That is necessarily God.
An objection against the theist implication of the proposition is that even if one accepts the argument as a proof of a First Cause, it does not identify that First Cause with God. The argument does not go on to ascribe to the First Cause some of the basic attributes commonly associated with, for instance, a theistic God, such as immanence or omnibenevolence. Rather, it simply argues that a First Cause (e.g. the Big Bang, God, or an unarticulated First Cause) must exist. Not Nec. "deity"
As the 1st cause is infinite & eternal, it is God by definition. It could be argued that immamnence is implicite in infinity. As for benevolence, that wasn't part of Aristotle's vision. However, I think it is implicite in the idea of infinity also. It might be a more remote possibility as a logical deduction.
As benevolence DOES exist in the universe, it would also find its source in the infinite being. Creation must be, in some way, a reflection of its creator.
When you commit the fallacy of begging the question, you take the argument nowhere:
"As the 1st cause is infinite & eternal..."
This begs the question: How do you know the first cause was infinite and eternal?
"Creation must be, in some way, a reflection of its creator."
begs the question: How do you know the Universe is a creation"?
The answer to these questions always seems to be the same when you get right down to it: "I just have faith"--a flagrant violation of the rules of inference.
RODWP: The 1st cause is infinite & eternal b/c it is not subject to time & space. By definition. The system of causality we all know around us everyday must have a source, one that can't have its source in something that preceeds it. We know the universe is a creation b/c it has a beginning, a source. It is generated or created by that source. Denying a source is begging the question, not positing one. I realize that materialism's best defense lies in an eternal universe, science betrayed you.
one that can't have its source in something that preceeds it?
Why not? More question-begging.
"Denying a source is begging the question"
I never denied any source, I just denied that this source is described in detail in a little book in a hotel nightstand--stop conflating belief in a "source" with belief in a Christian deity.
I haven't said anything about Christianity of the Bible. I am talking about the logical necessity of creating things having their source in something that has no source itself. That source is necessarily infinite & eternal b/c it is OUTSIDE of time & space. That which is not bound by time & space & thus subject to causality is by definition infinite & eternal. Do you even have a vague inkling what the terms we are using mean? You don't seem to, just throw around jargon like beggin the question.
Really good explanation of the levels of 'heaven' Mormons believe in.. I am so thankful I know Jesus, my savior, my redeemer and my LORD. Have mercy on the LDS Lord Jesus..
my advice is that you find a place where you can work stuff out, and maybe one day you and your family can get along even if you do'nt have the same value-system.
i believe that everybody wants to have a good relationship with their family. and i believe your hate comes from feelings of not being understood, respected and/or loved.
hope you can absorb this information and understand that i speak from experience.
i don't hate them simply becuase they're mormon you dick muncher. i hate them becuase they're twisted as hell. they act like they own everything. not to mention they follow one of the Dumbest religious known to all mankind and i hate stupidity.
absorb a little of this shit. stay the fuck out of situations that don't have a damn thing to do with you.
NO JACK ASS!!!! i was not saying all mormons acted like they owned everything. i said my stepfamily acted like they owned everything.
idgaf what mormons are. Joseph Smith was full of shit. he basically said i'm black because i didn't want to get any body elses bullshit. anybody that honestly believes that is a retard.
"feed the mind with stupidity and false truths and you get a twisted soul, bent culture, and corrupt society"
I think judging *individuals based on their actions and the results thereof is far more rational than the logic you are using right now.
I highly doubt you have had much interactions with many Mormons. If you did, then I'm fairly certain most of them haven't said or done personally that would justifiably offend you.
I went to a Mormon churh for a little longer than 2 years and i went to 2 Mormon summer camps. so stfu.
there are ways to offend a person other than using words. the bullshit i found while researching this religion is that the people that fell for this nonsense were either gulible as fuck or just plain ole retarded. history, science and damn near every other religion proves that the original inhabitants on this planet were people of dark complection. whites came later.
Africans enslaved each other you dumb son of a bitch!!!! Religion didnt have shit to do with it. It was all based on social status or what tribe you came from in times of war.
none of the other religions (even scientology THE dumbest religion) have singled out any let alone all minorities. The majority of them (exept scientology) have an almost believable story (he found some tablets that noone else could look at). J. Smith was retarded.
i still believe that if you (not necessarily you HerrQuixota) believe that im black b/c i didnt want to get in the middle of someone elses bullshit then your fuckin retarded.
Read your history again. Africans and Arabs did enslave other Africans, so did Europeans. Whether it be Islam or Christianity, religion has a lot to do with it. As both religions do allow slavery.
They enslaved each other before religion became an issue. Almost all tribes from africa when asked where their masters came from they all pointed to the same star. africans where enslaving each other long before any european influence.
I think what Brigham Young did, banning the blacks pertaining to things dealing with the "priesthood" was contradictory to the nature of God and how he judges people by their hearts and as individuals. In sum, Brigham Young was truly racist. Mormons in general are not.
You are just as prejudiced as Brigham Young.
Judge the individual based on their true intentions. Forgive them of their mistakes and weaknesses. They are only mortal.
Mormons at least required the masters of slaves to treat them well or they would be ex-communicated for being Un-Christ like.
And it isn't Un-Christ like to keep slaves.
If the slaves were freed, where else would they go? They had nothing else but their masters. They had no education, no money, were discriminated against VERY OFTEN. If they had their master, at least they were protected as property, which was more than what many freed slaves enjoyed.
the first evening i met my stepfamily i was 13. they made me sleep in a laundy room. when i went to church with them the pretty much told me i had no choice that i was going to be a mormon wether i liked it or not. when i insisted on not converting for around a year they sent me back to my mother.
my hatred isnt towards mormons entirely. i hate stupidity and evil. from my expiriences mormons have a combination of the 2.
Wrong, jiggers, I simply expose the truth of mormonism. if it hurts it is just the angels of truth tearing lies off your spirit. And with a name like yours I would be careful!
you havnt spoken any truth about mormons, just spewing and spreading hatred, nope it doesnt hurt why well you havnt exposed anything but your lies and your deceit, your only hurting yourself just A thought...
It's not hating mormons it's about Exposing Mormonism to the light of truth. Joseph Smith and the Mormon Hierarchy have turned Christianity on its head. Obscenely.
yes, it does represent the Mormon beliefs in essence, it's just that they would word it to sound "Christian" and less like a polytheistic pagan religion as it clearly is. I have actually spoken to several Mormon missionaries and others of their group, and when you pin them down on the points in this film, most of them will admit that the majority of it is accurate, but just worded in a "rude" fashion.
Actually the creatio ex nihilo argument is silly because if matter did not exist co-eternally with God then there would have been a time when God was the God of NOTHING. What kind of a God is a God of nothing? So matter and energy are constantly changing and being organized and re-organized. Evangelicals are such spoiled little kids. They are so simple minded. They are the great American redncecked Hillbilly Evangelicals. They have little resemblance to first century Christianity.
The "created Ex Nihilo" argument is a Biblical fact. In both Hebrew and Greek, the word created means something made from nothing, so it is a moot point for we who know the truth. Your assertion that God must use matter in order to have a kingdom is ludicrous, when you understand that God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom, and He requires no matter in order to exist and neither do other spiritual beings such as angels. Matter was created for temporal beings such as us.
Oh yes godluvesmormons and I'm sure that Jesus physical resurrection was just a spiritual phenomenon and not really a physical thing either. You sound more like a gnostic than the kind of Christian of the first century.
For the most part, he mentioned that there were a few things that the cartoon got wrong; one of the things is that according to Joseph Fielding Smith, David O Mkay, and a few others, blacks were not neutral--they were just 'less valiant'. Slavery, racism, lynchings, etc. were 'the reward [they] merit', according to Joseph Fielding Smith.
Mormons base their entire faith on a feeling they get when they pray to the Mormon god and ask him if his book is true. That kind of blind faith is almost impossible to breach, but with God, all things are possible.
every single Denomination has some truth alone with some misunderstandings.........one must take truth as one sees it and not hide behind any denomination to approve
The comment on the side of the video is talking about the video... "Cartoon banned by the mormon church".. not about any denomination... The LDS church has so much venom and false teaching... with minimum of truth...
venom and false teachings??? such as what your going to make a claim like that then back it up,lets hear it obviously you can say that cause you feel so safe and secure hiding behind a keyboard, you dont know jack squat about the mormon faith bud!,if you dont have anything intelligent to say then shove a cork your mouth MY HELL!
@solarflare311 I own some 300 books on Mormonism, mostly all original pub, a few "clones", and some 30+ books Pure Mormonese, like 4 church histories, JofD, etc. Many books are by those fleeing 19thC Utah for their lives. I just bought an English Ed. of W. Jarmans "USA in Hell, Uncle Sams Abcess....", 1884, It has the famous SKULL with the grinning Mormons in the eye sockets and rows of Women being led into the mouth of the Skull. What a great Picture! I used it in one video recently.
Mormonism is not a denomination, it is a straight up cult, and it is NOT in any way shape or form Christianity as it is stated in God's word the Bible. I can worship with the majority of Christian denominations, except for works based ones and extreme Calvinists, but I would never even take communion with Mormons, it is a fest in honor of a false deity.

All doctrine of the church is in the four standard works:
The Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine and Covenants.
Anything not inculded in these four works are not doctrine.
They are opinions of men. Past prophets are just men.
That cartoon had many false teachings in it. Many opinions of men.

Godincrease 2 years ago

Remorce78 2 years ago
It is not LDS teachings that GOD THE FATHER, HAD A FATHER.
This was merely an idea one of the prophets was thinking about cuz some guy probably asked them how to deal with this logic he came up with.
Most Mormons actually don't believe that Elohim had a father. PERIOD.
God is not the author of Chaos and Evil. God didn't always exist if this is the case. He is the foundation of the COSMOS, not CHAOS. Therefore, he did not create ALL EXISTENCE.
HerrQuixota 2 years ago
Please read the book of John, chapter 1, verse 1. He did create all existence.

God "made" the world as much as I made my peanut butter sandwich.
Existence, always has been. You cannot make something from nothing. That's what some Atheists claim. How can Senseless Chaos come from Divine Order?
God brings "things" to order, so that they can be comprehended as something that exists.
Light that shineth out of Darkness? Darkness not comprehending the Light? How can something that is considered nothing suddenly become something?

Aristotle disposed of this eternal progression idea years ago. If the regression goes on forever into history, then there is no 1st mover. If there is no 1st, then there is no 2nd. So on & so on until we reach our present situation. Causality must have a source in some kind of infinite eternal reality. That is necessarily God.
Mormons have no GOD, only gods.
VictorLepanto 2 years ago
An objection against the theist implication of the proposition is that even if one accepts the argument as a proof of a First Cause, it does not identify that First Cause with God. The argument does not go on to ascribe to the First Cause some of the basic attributes commonly associated with, for instance, a theistic God, such as immanence or omnibenevolence. Rather, it simply argues that a First Cause (e.g. the Big Bang, God, or an unarticulated First Cause) must exist. Not Nec. "deity"
ruinyourdaywithpiss 2 years ago
As the 1st cause is infinite & eternal, it is God by definition. It could be argued that immamnence is implicite in infinity. As for benevolence, that wasn't part of Aristotle's vision. However, I think it is implicite in the idea of infinity also. It might be a more remote possibility as a logical deduction.
As benevolence DOES exist in the universe, it would also find its source in the infinite being. Creation must be, in some way, a reflection of its creator.
VictorLepanto 2 years ago
When you commit the fallacy of begging the question, you take the argument nowhere:
"As the 1st cause is infinite & eternal..."
This begs the question: How do you know the first cause was infinite and eternal?
"Creation must be, in some way, a reflection of its creator."
begs the question: How do you know the Universe is a creation"?
The answer to these questions always seems to be the same when you get right down to it: "I just have faith"--a flagrant violation of the rules of inference.
ruinyourdaywithpiss 2 years ago
RODWP: The 1st cause is infinite & eternal b/c it is not subject to time & space. By definition. The system of causality we all know around us everyday must have a source, one that can't have its source in something that preceeds it. We know the universe is a creation b/c it has a beginning, a source. It is generated or created by that source. Denying a source is begging the question, not positing one. I realize that materialism's best defense lies in an eternal universe, science betrayed you.
VictorLepanto 2 years ago
one that can't have its source in something that preceeds it?
Why not? More question-begging.
"Denying a source is begging the question"
I never denied any source, I just denied that this source is described in detail in a little book in a hotel nightstand--stop conflating belief in a "source" with belief in a Christian deity.
ruinyourdaywithpiss 2 years ago
I haven't said anything about Christianity of the Bible. I am talking about the logical necessity of creating things having their source in something that has no source itself. That source is necessarily infinite & eternal b/c it is OUTSIDE of time & space. That which is not bound by time & space & thus subject to causality is by definition infinite & eternal. Do you even have a vague inkling what the terms we are using mean? You don't seem to, just throw around jargon like beggin the question.
VictorLepanto 2 years ago
"I haven't said anything about Christianity of the Bible."
Sorry, i thought you were making the claim that god as described by religion was the first source.

They enslaved each other before religion became an issue. Almost all tribes from africa when asked where their masters came from they all pointed to the same star. africans where enslaving each other long before any european influence.
ericaj58 this isnt your argument.
don't butt in.
randomlukk 2 years ago
Black Africans are the most subjugated people on this planet. Even by their own people. You and I both know this to be historically accurate.
Some Mormon guy said about Blacks being cursed because they didn't fight valiantly enough for their freedom in the pre-existence.
Looking at HISTORY, I can see how that guy came to that conclusion.
HerrQuixota 2 years ago
I think what Brigham Young did, banning the blacks pertaining to things dealing with the "priesthood" was contradictory to the nature of God and how he judges people by their hearts and as individuals. In sum, Brigham Young was truly racist. Mormons in general are not.
You are just as prejudiced as Brigham Young.
Judge the individual based on their true intentions. Forgive them of their mistakes and weaknesses. They are only mortal.
HerrQuixota 2 years ago
Mormons at least required the masters of slaves to treat them well or they would be ex-communicated for being Un-Christ like.
And it isn't Un-Christ like to keep slaves.
If the slaves were freed, where else would they go? They had nothing else but their masters. They had no education, no money, were discriminated against VERY OFTEN. If they had their master, at least they were protected as property, which was more than what many freed slaves enjoyed.
Slaves were inherited more than bought.
HerrQuixota 2 years ago
Put what I said into context.
Owning a slave is like having a child.
You have to provide for their needs, because they are not allowed(or capable) of doing it themselves.
No one would give a freed black man a job or land..
No one would give a 13 year old a job or land.
At least if you were a slave, your master could vouche for you and RENT YOU OUT.
Most freed slaves(post civil war) actually kept working for their masters. Because of this, they were effectively still slaves.
HerrQuixota 2 years ago
"If you did, then I'm fairly certain most of them haven't said or done personally that would justifiably offend you. "
vs
"there are ways to offend a person other than using words."
So they didn't actually do anything to you? Great! Your reasons for hating mormons are now discredited.
HerrQuixota 2 years ago
the first evening i met my stepfamily i was 13. they made me sleep in a laundy room. when i went to church with them the pretty much told me i had no choice that i was going to be a mormon wether i liked it or not. when i insisted on not converting for around a year they sent me back to my mother.
my hatred isnt towards mormons entirely. i hate stupidity and evil. from my expiriences mormons have a combination of the 2.

yes, it does represent the Mormon beliefs in essence, it's just that they would word it to sound "Christian" and less like a polytheistic pagan religion as it clearly is. I have actually spoken to several Mormon missionaries and others of their group, and when you pin them down on the points in this film, most of them will admit that the majority of it is accurate, but just worded in a "rude" fashion.
godluvsmormons 2 years ago 2
Actually the creatio ex nihilo argument is silly because if matter did not exist co-eternally with God then there would have been a time when God was the God of NOTHING. What kind of a God is a God of nothing? So matter and energy are constantly changing and being organized and re-organized. Evangelicals are such spoiled little kids. They are so simple minded. They are the great American redncecked Hillbilly Evangelicals. They have little resemblance to first century Christianity.
Rockymtntruth 2 years ago
The "created Ex Nihilo" argument is a Biblical fact. In both Hebrew and Greek, the word created means something made from nothing, so it is a moot point for we who know the truth. Your assertion that God must use matter in order to have a kingdom is ludicrous, when you understand that God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom, and He requires no matter in order to exist and neither do other spiritual beings such as angels. Matter was created for temporal beings such as us.
godluvsmormons 2 years ago
Oh yes godluvesmormons and I'm sure that Jesus physical resurrection was just a spiritual phenomenon and not really a physical thing either. You sound more like a gnostic than the kind of Christian of the first century.

For the most part, he mentioned that there were a few things that the cartoon got wrong; one of the things is that according to Joseph Fielding Smith, David O Mkay, and a few others, blacks were not neutral--they were just 'less valiant'. Slavery, racism, lynchings, etc. were 'the reward [they] merit', according to Joseph Fielding Smith.
