  • @MrThebeach11 My manager had his favorites from the beginning and I did not work well under pressure then. How would you cope with someone treating you like you didn't matter every day? God Bless.

  • 1. Ew.

    2. Vector is not a scam, it's simply YOU providing appointments through RECOMMENDATIONS.

    3. The only way your going to succeed at Vector, is if you work hard.

    4. The knives are the best knives in the world. What else could you buy that's the 'best'?

    5. People do buy CUTCO. There are plans which you can do in small payments that make it affordable to almost everyone.

    6. Vector is a GREAT work experience, and definitely helps with your 'people' skills and self-confidence.

  • @EvolutionNE My manager wasn't much help; trust me, that made my work experience at Vector awful. Not being able to work with a personable manager sometimes breaks such deals, as it did for me. He didn't like me from the beginning and the feeling quickly became mutual. I do like the products, though, and recommend that people at least try them out. God Bless, Michelle.

  • the lady over the phone-representative for Vector..told me..that there is no face to face, no door to door, no over the phone marketing..so im confused....wtf do they do there then..i have an interview tomorrow and im having second thoughts..theres too much Negativity on here(youtube) towards Vector...and Boogawes, i think ur problem was not with the Company..it sounded all ur frustration and emotions were all set on the manager..anyways, is it a SCAM or not??

  • @datsuga21 Well, one can only show the products and present them to customers who have agreed to allow him or her to do a presentation. However, Vector is a pyramid scheme and the prices are ridiculous. Look up S.A.V.E. (Students Against Vector Exploitation) as well. I hope I helped. G-d Bless, Michelle

  • its android 17

  • @RastaTurtle1 I'm an alien? Okay, why not? 1 Peter 2:11

  • @Boogawes I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that.

  • Elite your just juless because you don't have a girlfriend.. Shes hotter then your mom.. No fence heavenly girl..

  • @riffatSHOW Thank you. I truly appreciate the compliment.

  • you look like a fucking frog u ugly woman nowonder ur single

  • @TheEliteGuy The reason I am single is NONE of your business. How dare you judge me when you don't know me?

  • bitch is ugly cutco ftw!

  • @TheEliteGuy Well, that was rude. That speaks volumes about your character, I'm sorry to say. Oh, and next time, please do not namecall or make other dirty comments on my videos. I have asked numerous times that viewers only post clean comments for my sake and the sakes of other Youtube users. Thank you.

  • yeah i had my experience with them the last 2 weeks and im outta there

  • @F5G6H5 I understand completely. Like I said, my boss was not the best; overbearing people bother me.

  • girl, you got the crazy eyes

  • @rambo321 That is also known as strabismus.....

  • Can I have sex with you?

  • @studentoflife01 I appreciate the compliment, and I intend to wait for sex until marriage. G-d Bless.

  • @Boogawes Can I court you?

  • Vector targets naiive college students seeking summer employment. They mislead people. You have to cold call people and then go to their house to sell them knives that cost hundreds of dollars. Who in their right mind, and in this shitty economy is going to buy expensive knives from a door to door salesman? Run from their job postings. You'd be better off working at McDonalds or Wal-mart!

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 Dude, you obviously know VERY little of what your talkming about. Cutco sales have been done better in this economy, funny eh? Poeple want quality, a forever guarantee meaning no more buying them over and over again, not bad eh?

I dont see how a job that gives you awesome experience, have a possibility to earn 10, 20k in the summer, how is that worse than those shitty jobs that give you no experience whatsoever you listed?

Its not 'door to door' , unless you dont know the meaning

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 of that expression lol. You work with referrals (meaning not random people or cold calling). If people like you and your good talking with them this should be no problem, its actually fun and meet some cool people. I did this job after only living 1 year in Toronto and didnt know many people, I worked hard and became a manager the summer after, I was one of the top reps in my office. For someone with all his friends, family, etc... in one the same place its easy honestly just work

  • I think it all depends on the manager cus I know some manager try to push people too much and like you said doesnt care about some one as a person... but my manager he actually pump us up and he doesnt really get upset about us not making sales

  • @Dancinwithfate If I ever work for them again, which I doubt, I hope I have a good manager, not C. -_-

  • FCK VECTOR I WANT TO QUIT~!!!!!

  • @25ballz Then by all means go for it.

  • This video is false do you think a multimillion dollar business is out to scam college kids. False they are trying to find young eager people who need money. The best time to sell cutlery is in the summer. And who has a longer summer break than a college student.

  • @bucklawm Yes, I do think they scam college students in some fashion, although whether they intend to I don't know for sure. -_-

  • the most boring voice ever

  • Recently the co-founder of SAVE (Students Against Vector Exploitation) a group formed by students to fight the Vector Marketing scam, won a case with the New York Department of Labor, proving that Vector violated the independent contractor- client relationship, making her an employee. This breach of contract required Vector to compensate for her training.

  • @Glahnnia wow. How did Vector do that??

  • "In past, the company admitted to fraud in settlements with the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission (1999), Wisconsin Consumer Protection Dept (1994), and Arizona Attorney General (1992). In 1992, 940 Wisconsin Vector Marketing recruits were surveyed and the survey found nearly half of the recruits earned no pay or lost money while working for Vector.

  • @Glahnnia Doesn't that suck?....Oy.

  • @Glahnnia Sure but you cant put the whole company in the same basket, offices are run as individual businesses, so its really how each manager runs his shit.

  • She looks like crazy eyes from Mr. Deeds

  • @Wachuchu Excuse me, but I believe you have violated my requests NOT to comment on my lazy eye. Thanks....

  • Cutco isn't a scam it's just inpratical and misleading like so many other jobs and facts of life, Vector Marketing is a legit bussiness but it is a pryamid scheme, and managers aren't their to care about they're employee's on a personal level

  • @92holli Point taken. I think the pyramid scheme is a scam, though...

  • So you wanted your SALES manager to what? Not care about sales? after this video I know why you did bad. your lame. So your customers had only important things and couldn't get "luxury products". so all of your customers had no TV's? no computers, jewelry, wall paper, no toys for their kids? Not a playstation in one customers home? Wow who were you seeing? No DVD's, MP3's or nice clothes for these people. Just bare necessities. Yeah sure. It's called selling. getting people to want to buy.

  • He was overbearing and I wasn't the only one who didn't like him very much.

  • @philosophyman76

There's a difference between saving up for a luxury and pulling $300-2100 out of your ass for a set of knives. I've personally demoed for people who literally could not afford ONE knife, while on the same note some people DID buy just ONE knife, People have mortgages, in summer you have bad weather and have to replace roofs, windshields, etc. The more you're willing to understand that, the better a sales rep you'll be. People don't like being pressured.

  • @ZeroPointAlpha yeah that's why they have payment plans. No interest payment plans. The company average order is $250. not $300-$2100. I live in brooklyn. I have people on my team who live in the poorest places on earth. one of our reps just sold 500 last week to illegal immigrants with no bank account, credit card, or social security. So summer not good for sales. In the winter all peoples bills go away right? or spring. Thats when ppl are loaded. stop being lame

  • Comment removed

  • @philosophyman76

Around here there are people who literally CANNOT afford new knives, even if it's just ONE knife due to the reasons I've mentioned before among others. You calling me lame just because I understand my area more than you is laughably unprofessional. There are people who can and will throw all their money at you to get some knives, but there are just as many who have fallen on hard times and cannot afford them at that time.

  • @philosophyman76 Define "poorest places on Earth". They can't be THAT poor if they're spending that much on new knives. Just because they LOOK poor doesn't mean they are. Hell, I've sold a paring knife to a guy who lived in a house that looked like it fell in on itself and reeked of cat piss. He HAD enough money left-over to budget that sort of things, while other people I've demoed for are much tighter with their money because of what they do (in most cases, livestock).

  • @ZeroPointAlpha so now your telling me about where i live? Come and talk to the people. So what is your point some people don't buy? Yep. so. your only allowed to see people who are employed full-time. If a person has a full time job then they can afford a knife. We're not talking about downsized people or college students. reps are told that they can only see fulltime employed people. So if someone has a job and can afford a playstation then they can afford a 50 knife on a 2 month payment plan

  • @philosophyman76 You'd think that, which is what they want you to think. But sadly, I don't chose the people I get referred to because I haven't met alot of people who give decent referrals yet. I'm not saying it's impossible to buy these knives, just that you can't ignore that there are people who would rather put that money towards bills, and they have enough bills where they're just barely getting by without adding another payment into the mix.

  • @philosophyman76 So my advice to you, city-slicker, is to respect that not everywhere is like Brooklyn. I live 4-5 miles north of a town of barely 40,000 people, which isn't small but it isn't huge either. Most of these people are farmers or laborers who can't afford to spend even $100 on an order, even with the monthly payments because, surprise, times are hard. Yes, people are buying it more than ever because of the value we offer, but If you only have $4 for the $10 super-knife you're SoL.

  • @ZeroPointAlpha whatever brooklyn is not city slicker. apparently you have never been to the city. there are places called projects. and again if the person doesn't have a fulltime job DOn't do a demo for them. if they do they can afford a knife

  • @philosophyman76 Yeah, we have projects here too. It's otherwise known as "everything south of 10th street and west of Sycamore", which is roughly half the town. Granted it's bullshit to judge someone by the place they live (the crazy cat man for instance), but that's the general layout of this town. Now if I could get my foot in the door of the Colonial/Base housing areas, I'd be set, but I don't know anyone from those areas so I'll just have to wait and see.

  • Vector is a scam, they are misleading, tell you to lie, and they tell you that you will make a bunch of money but the job is commission only, plus they make you pay out of your own pocket for your own set of knives for demonstration. They target college kids and will basically hire anyone and they make you feel good about yourself just so you will be a salesman for them

Just google the company and you will read hundreds of pages of scams Vector has pulled

  • @EpiclandOfficial I can't agree with you more. :) I have done my research. :)

  • @Boogawes yeah some research people do make money. Look at the people who post about their checks. I guess they are all liars. you don't have to "buy" a kit. you put down a deposit and get the money back. find me one person who complained that they didn't get their money back for their kit. And yes they hire college students. SCAM they actually give students an opportunity instead of an unpaid internship doing 40 hours a week of busy work. What scamming bastards

  • No one is going to buy Cutco with all of those expenses? Are you kidding?! I sell in a town where the median income is around 30K a year and people are buying tons of it. All of these people are middle class to lower middle class. Maybe a heard wrong. If I did, I'm sorry.

Either way though, it seems like you just had a bad manager.

  • I would say boogawes I have had the same experience here in the UK with a similar company who only pays based on commission which is good for anyone who loves working in that kind of environment. But for me part of the job involved giving away your soul or morals as one would say because for example I would never sell my products to the elderly, disabled or unemployed as I know it is morally wrong in taking advantaged of people who are vulnerable.

  • Woah they told you that when you resigned? Literally? I kept ignoring calls, not selling consistently, and stopped showing up to meetings, and I stopped getting calls from my manager. Now I have my former assistant manager trainee in a class in my college! I thought he wouldn't have taken business last year or something but I'm stuck with the reminder of not liking my office.

  • My manager irritated me so bad! I felt like I was being lied to by my manager and assistant manager. First they told me we would only have our mandatory Wednesday meetings but then they would call me like crazy if I didn't show up to Rising Star meetings on Thursday. I feel like my manager was fake and he tried to be exaggerated nice to get his way which didn't work. He also wanted me to pay 200 dollars for a regional 2 day conference but I said no. Products are awesome but management sucks.

  • @oreovile666 I totally understand the overbearing manager part. Worse, when I resigned..."Okay, I gotta go. Take care." I'm not kidding either...Geez, how dishonest and cold can one manager get?

  • nice flat top! hahahahha grow a pair!

  • Yea, you're totally right about the managers... I'm sorry to my manager that I can't set up 20 demos a week because I go to school full time and have a full time job on the side.

  • vector is a scam

  • What exactly about vector makes it a scam?

  • yea i don't know what to expect i just got hired with vector and training is comming up soon i hope i do will

  • Your experience depends in large part on how your manager treats you....

  • oh and the company is actually up 12% from last year during this "economic crisis" the western region is up 26% off a record breaking 2008

  • @bengib21 Inflated numbers

  • yeah an item that they invest in one time, use every single day, and use for the rest of their life is totally a luxury. you = dumb, no wonder you were a shitty rep, stop complaining about why you sucked at the job

  • @bengib21

There's no denying that they're a phenomenal product and they're very much worth the money, but as I've said before, it's pretty stupid to assume that EVERYONE can pull $300-1000 out of their ass at the last minute.

  • scary eyes.

  • Yes, I suppose I look demon-possessed or something. Sorry about that- I should've been more careful with the lighting.

  • The reason companies succeed is because managers have self interest and therefore want to help the workers succeed because it helps them increase their profit as well. I have no problem with that. That said, it is very difficult to make a consistent living with Cutco, and as an Assistant Manager, I was very much exploited. I am now working for minimum wage and much better off. So I mostly agree with your perspective, but not with your reasoning.

  • mermaid you are an idiot maybe if you werent such a wennie and folowed the freaking script anddid your freaking job you might have made something of youself we are eccentric and overly happly b.c we ballhard and take no prisoners and jst so you know were up 30% company wide so suck it

  • Pardon me, but please keep it clean. Thanks.

  • You say it right girl. This whole experience with Vector/CutCo is a hit or miss for people that work for the company. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE becomes ECCENTRIC and OVERLY HAPPY. It's almost like a conspiracy or some sort of brainwashing!
