  • Springfield Massachusetts is the Birthplace of Basketball, and James Naismith invented Basketball in Springfield. The National Basketball Hall of Fame is in Springfield MA.

  • yes but espn calls kansas the birthplace of basketball, kansas is where it got its popularity from

  • No...the game was thought of in Springfield.

The first rules were written in Kansas. It became an official game in Lawrence, KS with James Naismith and Forrest Allen.

  • it was james naismith who created basketball and he came to coach kansas, actually teach so you can say its the birth place of basketball

  • What book should I read genius. KU did not invent basketball. That's a historical fact. Now, if you want to make personal insults lets keep them above the belt ... at least that's what I try to do with your mom ... only her mouth will do.

  • wow, your student athletes graduate. ku must be tough.

  • By the sounds of it you didn't even graduate high school.

  • Because a backwards hick and his peach bucket loving friends happened to live in Lawrence does not mean KU invented basketball. KU did, however, has managed to employ an undeniably gay mascot for the last century. Rock Chalk Gayhawk Go Pillow Bitters.

  • O P.S. its backWOODS not backWARDS.

  • you know what i hate, is being at the Bob Devany Center watching a Nebraska-KU Basketball game, and the stupid ku fans start this stupid cheer(because there are like a shit load more ku fans that NU fans) but yea

  • well i hate well i hate herbie the cornfucker....

  • what is KU's admission criteria? a high school diploma and an act score of 18. joke. anyone with a pulse can score an 18.

  • na 3.0 24 if your outta state i believe i may be wrong it might be 21 and in state the same as KSU and we are mor academically inclined than that shit hole down the road.....

  • KU qualified admission standards

Students Graduating from a Kansas High School:

To qualify for admission, new freshmen must submit a completed application with the $30 fee before the April 1 deadline and meet one of the following requirements:

Achieve an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT score of 980 or above, or

Earn at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0-point scale in the Kansas Board of Regents curriculum, or

Rank in the top one-third of their high-school class.

  • that has to be the weakest criteria for admission in the big twelve.

  • wow. you are a clever one.

  • Oh and by the way you are a fucking faggot douche!

  • Kansas University Jayhawks are nothing but a bunch of redneck idiots living on the plains of Kansas. Oh and by the way I'm not a Mizzou fan.

  • RCJHKU 4 life!!
