That's really the kind of drummer I was. Nothing fancy, no flashy drum solos, just solid time keeping.These demos were mixed with acoustic drums and I must say that Ray Tilkens did an excellent job! The album was with triggers and a digital midi interface and I was unhappy with some of the results but studio time was expensive so we had no time to fix anything!
The kit used in this recording session was a chrome Slingerland set (like Phil Ehart used in the beginning) with a wood Ludwig snare and Zildjian cymbals. The one you see in most of the pictures is a Tama kit with the same snare and different Zildjian cymbals because I used to break them all the time! (Ouch!)
