  • isn't that the 'you look maavlous' dude?

  • @IIIIdepechemodeIIII I think it is, actually, although you can't see him that well. But it does look like Billy Crystal.

  • I keep all of my dead munkiez in a barrel.

  • There gonna get the wrong idea! LOL!

  • "You were great last night."

  • Thanks...so were you. ;)

  • ;D You know it bby.

  • omg, I want to win a Chevet!

  • "NONONONO"

    *shocked*

"not here in front of the"

*I'm so sorry* "ohhh the movie, yes"

    someone got lucky ;)

  • did you ever hear: a barrel of monkeys?

  • maybe if 'a barrel of monkeys' is referring to something that is unorganized or out of control. i think i've heard the expression before

  • It's supposed to be "more fun than a barrel full of monkeys"

  • How the hell do you get things in a barrel from monkeys?

  • it's a toy! obviously, you're too young and I'm ...old.. :P

  • I'm pretty sure I'm as old as anybody here... just never heard of that toy...

  • well, it was a little toy barrel with monkeys in it.. though wikipedia says: "A Barrel of Monkeys is a hyperbolistic idiom referring to good-natured pandemonium."

    hhmmmm..

  • The name of the game with the plastic monkeys comes from the even older expression.

  • How is the last one a blooper?

  • They flashed she had won $200 not $20,000.

  • No thats just the pyramid cube turning around. All the cubes have numbers on them, and the top one is used if the player passes. I guess it's more of a reflex issue than anything, someone didnt press the off button for the camera quick enough.

  • @Robbroy13 - it wasn't really a blooper - I'm guessing the original poster added it because it was (and I think still is) the record for any pyramid (old or new) ... Billy Crystal joked about it for years "I got the record on pyramid!!" ...I think 26 or 24 seconds . I'm glad the poster put it in there ...it's pretty amazing.

  • @anonyms404 Almost seemed fixed. When I think of the word, monkeys, the first thing that comes to mind is not "Things in a barrel."

  • Hhe, a '58 Chevette. I'd love that car. A classic.

  • One of a kind, no less.

  • OMG the won a 58 Chevette, I WANT ONE

  • thats unbelievable at the end. almost like she was mind reading.

  • ok, idk wut the car was @ the beginning

  • He said a 1958 Chevrolet Chevette, instead of 1985 Chevrolet Chevette.

  • ooo god i love dick clark, what a good guy

  • You were great last night... Oh thank you Dick so were you! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! And than the face, and than the movie! Lol, bwl!!!!

  • What was the big idea with that?

  • It sounded like they sleept together the night before, but they were actually commenting about some movie premiere they both went to and by the way she made the face it was hard to believe they didn't. So for me that fas extremly funny. XDXD lol again...

  • *was

  • Haha Lucie Arnaz!!

  • Getting things in a barrel from monkeys is the fishiest bit. The others either weren't too hard or he gave good clues.

  • Never heard of "A barrel of monkeys"?

  • I've heard of "a barrel of monkeys", but "things in a barrel" is very unlikely to be first thing you think of when someone says "monkeys" Over "mammals", "hairy things" "types of animals" "things that like bananas" "things that grunt" "things that climb trees" etc. I don't think it's rigged but for her to guess that right off is truly remarkable.

  • Yes! Thank you. :-)

  • everyone knows monkeys in a barrel, would a been my 1st guess

  • the expression on lucie arnaz's face at the end looks just like her mother's. the one where she gets herself in to troube and tries to lie her way out of it.

  • At the end when the woman won the pyramid

    - who did she sleep with to get all the answers? This is the fakest thing I've ever

seen! She was shouting out the the answers practically before the clues were given out.

Thanks for the video - but now I am always going to wonder about Dick Clark.

  • Does anyone know how Dick clark is doing after his stroke?

  • He is doing very well, from what i understand.

  • has his slurring of he speech stopped

  • i think so. not 100% positive, but he is doing better.

  • Who is the actress in the movie Blooper and I wonder what Dick Clark's wife thought of that bloopers

  • Lucy Arnaz, Lucille and Desi Arnaz' first born child.

  • Aw, that last part is cute, where she's all excited and he hugs her.

    :-) ~L~

  • why did it say the $25,000 pyramyd in the video if the video is called $100,000 pyramyd bloopers?

  • Because it starts off with the $100,000 maybe?

  • No like twice during the series they had a "tournament of champions" and who won that would win 100K

  • I have to agree. I mean she got each one on the first try. Think about it: If someone said

only one word to you, and the word was "eight"

you wouldnt know if they meant the number 8 or the past tense of "eat" until they said another word. And to make it even more obvious, when he says "monkeys" the first thing she thinks of is a Barrel? c'MON!

  • You are so right. There is something fishy here. Unless she was a mind reader - I don't

know how she came up the the right answers right away from those clues.

  • I think she cheated by knowing the answers ahead of time.

    pushups > exercises

to be or not to be > shakespeare

    patton > general

    8 > numbers/figures

    monkeys > barrel

    old flowers > wilted

she got the right response from the FIRST clue on all but 8, and on that one she got it on the second response (numbers, figures)

there are multiple good answers to each of those clues. She nailed the exact answer first on just one clue - impossible

  • here's things that should have come up that did not.

to be or not to be > lines in a play, things an actor says

    patton > ww2, military, george c scott

8 > food, time of day

monkeys > zoo, jungle, primates, music groups

old flowers > dried, saved, put in a book

she got the right answers too quickly without error or stumbling or pausing

  • that's why it only happened once in the history of the show. It's truly remarkable. Although I disagree with you on all the first answers other than "things in a barrel". To be or not to be would of course provoke the "shakespeare" response first. There's no real way she could cheat, and if somehow she did find a way, she would have deliberately stumbled around a few times before guessing the right answer.

  • I still think she got the answers ahead of time. The two biggest indications of that were the 8 > figures and monkeys > things you find in a barrel. She got the right answer with just one clue on all 6 selections. Impossible. She knew someone on the staff or someone saw the selections being put on the giant pyramid. This reminds me of the Aussie version of Family Feud where the guy gave the answer "Turkey" 3 times in a row, and it finally was an appropriate answer on the 3rd category.

  • Unless something is screwy (which would be highly doubtful to begin with), game shows are, since the 21 incident in the 50's, under high scrunity. That would just be pure dumb luck she got it so quick (and if you think about it, could of been a couple of seconds faster if Crystal could of thought of words even faster to say)

  • could you fill me in on the 21 incident that sounds interesting?

  • A gameshow back in the 50's (21) had given answers to a contestant, and the contestant, with answers provided, had a huge run on the show. Since the deal was so big, gameshows ever since are usually under intense scrunity, to prevent contestants from getting answers, or committing some kind of fraud with a gameshow to decieve viewers, and give an unfair advantage over other contestants, who are trying to play by the rules.

  • "21" was the big fish because of four things:

    1. The shows producers, Jack Barry and Dan Enright, who gave us "Joker's Wild" & "Tic Tac Dough"(the latter may have been rigged but was successfully revived in the seventies),

    2. One former champion, Charles Van Doren, became a celebrity and a regular on "Today",

    3. Herbert Stempel, the man Van Doren beat, blew the whistle, and

    4. Robert Redford's movie "Quiz Show".

  • Billy Crystal should have said "Spinach" for the wilted clue.

  • 1958.

  • What was the blooper in that last part? Sure, she was answerin' them pretty darn fast but I didn't see anything funny or unintentional.

  • new WC record

  • priceless! She steps right into that one with Dick Clark but quickly recovers. Hilarious!

  • you were great last....oh thanks dicklyou great also. LMAO!

  • The look on her face afterwards was priceless. One of my favourite bloopers ever! XD

  • LMAO at Lucie Arnaz!!

  • '58 CHEVETTE.

  • hmmm... not very interesting... much better the hot chicks from <b>LikeHerAss.com_<b>

  • see how a hot chick loses a bet and has to strip in front of her classmates <b>(_stripAss.com_)<b>

  • Someone says "Monkeys" and she answers "things in a barrel" ?

    Oh c'monnnnnnnnnn

  • monkeys in a barrel were pretty popular by this time

  • Dick Clark, who hosted "Bloopers" shows bloopers of his earlier "Pyramid" works

  • the last one is pro shit.

  • I didn't get the first one..? Could I get an explanation..?

  • The bonus prize was a 1985 Chevette (car). Dick mistakenly said a 1958 Chevette.

  • He Wanted To Hear Thier Answer To The Question And They Said The Name Of The Prize

  • Oops, its not Lynn Redgrave either....

  • Ok I'm gonna try this. That woman is DEFINITELY NOT Vanessa Redgrave (the accent alone kills that theory), I'm pretty sure its not St. James either. I think (and I could be wrong, so be sure to crush me if I am) its Lucy Arnaz. Am I right?

  • You're right, it is Lucy Arnaz

  • I think it's Susan St. James from Kate and Allie. I am suprised I even know that - I had to be like 7 or something!

  • Lynn Redgrave was the lady! and she still looks great today! so beautiful!

  • The first thing you think when you are told "Monkeys" are "in a barrel"? RLY??

  • Probably based on the saying "More fun than a barrel of monkeys".

  • nice:)

  • why is the Billy Crystal win a blooper?

  • Who is the lady in the 2nd clip?

  • yeah, that's a gr8 question.

  • The blooper in the last section was that she got everything right on the first clue. Almost looked fixed

  • wat was the blooper in the last part

  • jajajajaj the movie THE MOVIE!!!

  • Thanks for letting us see this. Of the three clips, I'd say:

    1) Cheesy host DC made a slight error and made a complete meal of it, as though it was comedy gold. It wasn't.

    2) Obviously rehearsed 'risqué' exchange.

    3) If this isn't a cheat, it's genuinely spooky, and by far the best of the three clips. I couldn't tell it was Billy Crystal at this resolution until I read a couple of the comments. I thought it was that bloke out of The Time Tunnel. And that Legends of Music thing.

  • go head and ruin the fun... it was much more entertaining to read what you had to say than it was to watch these bloopers *rolls eyes* and they were funny, except for the last one

  • My favorite was you were great last night.

  • yes, way too FUNNY!!

  • that was TOO Vague.

  • HAHAHA!!!! That's too funny!!

  • I had a '78 Chevette!

  • I missed what the blooper was in the last section...

  • Was Chevrolet even making Chevettes back in 1958?

  • LOL... they made Chevy's back then... but I don't think the Chevette was back in that time. He must have been thinking about something else.

  • he transposed 2 numbers. he should have said '85 chevette.

  • Poor Dick

  • 1958 Chevette? Mr. Blooper gets hoisted by his own pitard!

  • It was so fast I was waiting for "Things that are comcastic"

  • Crystal was obvious great there, but Monkeys eliciting "Things in a Barrel" right away? Best ever work by a contestant to follow Dick Clark's advice and see the picture in your head.

  • I didn't notice that...ouch! xDDD

  • Damn, I want Billy Crystal as my game show partner.

  • I liked the car version 1985 not 1958 you idiot!

  • That record had never been broken, that's like clue answer, though celebs tried to beat it and got close.

  • good clips

  • Don't know why it was included in a "blooper" thing, but it is historic (within the show that is..) It was Billy Crystal going to the top in 26 seconds...it's a show record

  • Oh, I've must have seen that record win a good dozen times, and yet it never gets old.

What a great piece of game show history.

  • If I was ever lucky enough to be on Pyramid, I would totally want Billy Crystal as my partner. Billy BAR NONE.

  • how was that last clip a blooper?

  • tHAT ONE WASNT A BLOOPER IT WAS THE FASTEST TIME ANYBODY ONE PYRAMID
