I don't remember the name of this movie but I believe it was French made and came out in the early seventies, using a VW Beetle with what looked like a giant key to wind it up sticking out of the back of the car. Some things should be left alone.

This is 1 of only 4 remaining, of the 26 Herbies built for the 1980 movie "Herbie Goes Bananas". Mid America owns this Herbie, #18, as well as Spinning Herbie, #20, from the same movie.

Shaking Herbie was used for several scenes in the movie. First it is dragged from the water, where he revives, shakes off water like a dog, and starts up with a great deal of smoke billowing from the exhaust pipes. Later we see Herbie again in a bullfight scene and in a number of simulated driving scenes.
