Fantastic. Really Enjying thi sone. Somewhere between antartica and chariots of fire, but wholey unique and refreshing. you are quite a master with the sounds. Enjoying all your posts here, :OD
I love the first minute. I recently found myself waking up with the chords starting at 00:42 in my head, I listened to this piece a previous evening. The high bassline at 00:35 is a gem as well.
I really never expected anything to replace my sleeping song from Blade Runner Blues. But this is a more uplifting sort of relaxing ambient with the same sound I like. Oh this is beautiful. You've made me a very very very happy human being. I think you infinilty.
Mick! I have not heard such a great song! Fantastic design, beautiful selection of sounds. This piece has a mysterious atmosphere. I listen to it many times ... congratulations great ideas! Greetings!
@Deepmindandheartlife -funny you ask that, I used to listen to Enigma a lot and have followed Michael Cretu from his days with Sandra in the eighties, he is a great composer/producer , but he seemed to delve into software on the last couple of albums and it shows. This guy did amazing things with sound in the early nineties, even today "sadness" sounds so great on radio . I really hope he goes back to his roots for another album
Great !!! Encore .... I heard some sounds from Roland soundCanvas (siren, steps, rail road sound) more than 15y old and still used! Mike, please, put this on CD! together with all your other diamonds!!!
@ramjet1862 Thanks ramjet ,wish I had too, but would be difficult for a piece like this .most of it was played live (in sections)over a couple of days and a bit more organised than the live videos:) The last thing on my mind was setting up a camera! The pictures aren't a great representation but better than nothing:)
Hi everyone, I would like to make this available as a free download, if someone could contact me who uses a good file sharing site I would give them the mp3 to upload it and send me back the link which I will post here. I use sendspace but it only holds a file for a week. Thankyou.
Megaupload(dot)com offers for its free membership program 90 days of file deletion after the last download (21 days for anonymous users) -- the counter resets if someone downloads the file before the deadline.
@mik300z Mike, I use box.net. You can upload it and it will give you a link to use, the user can then either listen online on the player, or download the mp3 file. It is free and I find it to work pretty well.
@eightiescrisis juno 6 for the leads (run through a smallstone phaser) on the opening part, juno g for a lot of bells and piano , akai drums, korg x5 ,....it's difficult to remember everything because it was done so quickly.
my friend.... I need to get back in the studio for ME!!! just to write really amazing music like this... phenomenal job Mik!! might need to work together....
@Booger6995 lol:) apologies for the pics, I just did a quick google of euro cities, I'm sorry I didn't just leave a blank screen so one could just close their eyes and listen.
Incredibly, all your compositions. I wonder how I can get them in MP3 or flac, because I do not want to lose sound quality converting from YouTube files. Would be a shame. Or maybe somewhere I can buy a CD. Thanks so much and continue to write because you do incredibly well. I really like your compositions and covers of by Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, etc.. Greetings from Bucharest, Romania.
@damihai Hi, this will be part of an album i'm putting together and will be ready soon, if you want to buy a cd just send me a private message for details...and thanks for listening:)
@curtiswebster007 Hi and thanks:) I don't exactly have one program I use. I use ableton live as a multitrack and the keyboards themselves are connected to it just as audio. I use the midi chain between the synths themselves , and for this track I used arpeggios from the junos to dictate tempo , which allows me to work quicker and not lose ideas. The drum patterns were done on the esq sequencer then played into ableton . Not a great explanation but I hope you get the idea:)
Beyound Five Star's.....You made your music to hear and feel and see your exsperiance when you went into europe... Awsome Music........... XD :) Keep making more..... :)
Fantastic!!! You are amasing like Vangelis him self.
