  • I assure you he does not puff his cheeks anymore. Teaches in Chicago now. Phenomenal player.

  • excellent

  • great solo!!

  • Soo good!! :)

  • Jon faddis does not puff his cheeks, however James Morrison does when playing in the lower register

  • **Bowing**

  • i went to a jazz clinic and learned that most of the time when they make it look like they are trying hard, it's just for show. this guys great!

  • no changes, hm?

  • Wow really good Hey if you any good songs for jazz band tryouts let me know

  • You are an AWESOME Trumpet player my friend!! WOW

  • what's the name of this song

  • @LILQUINCY87 Mr. Fone Bone

  • The reason puffing your cheeks is not recommended is NOT because it affects the sound of your playing. It's because the air that goes into your cheeks cannot be used to play the trumpet, meaning that you've wasted some of your breath, and if you don't have an amazing lung capacity, you may not be able to make it took the next place where you can take a breath. However, if you do have a good enough lung capacity, then you can go ahead and puff your cheeks all you want.

Great solo by the way :)

  • cool :)

  • I'm the top trumpet player in my school but DANG that guy is awesome.

  • nice

  • WOW!!

  • oh~ good~!!

  • he would be a lot better if he wouldn't puff his cheeks out when he played.

  • @kristenhulsey

what kind of tard are you?

its a style of playing its not wrong

  • I didn't say that his "style" of playing was wrong. Just that he needs a better ombicture

  • Firstly, please learn how to spell embouchure before using it in a sentence. Secondly, I wouldn't classify his embouchure as "wrong" because he seems to be able to play pretty well. Judge him on his playing, not how he gets the sound to come out.

  • Oh yeah,I guess Dizz would have been better if he didn't puff his cheeks.Hey Kristen, this guy plays danged good.

  • @kristenhulsey and do u play?

  • Yes. I play B flat trumpet and piccolo trumpet.

  • @kristenhulsey Louis Armstrong puffed his cheeks while playing and he was one of the greatest out there. Doesn't mean it's "wrong" or "bad"

  • @kristenhulsey, absolutely wrong. JON FADDIS puffs his cheeks. JON FADDIS. Enough said. Tons of pros puff their cheeks.

  • @kristenhulsey

    what about dizzy gillepsie asshole?

  • @TheHighwaytahell Calm yourself!

  • @TheHighwaytahell He had a disease and couldn't control those muscles.

It's not a good practice, it leads to a lack of control, not to mention over the years your cheeks will stretch out and you'll look like Droopy

  • @reddwarf1980 or dizzy gissipei

  • lovin that high note! almost shattered my windows

  • sound great Jorge!

  • You have just won my subscription!!! INCREDIBLE TRUMPET PLAYER. I love the fluidity of your range and technique. GREAT GREAT JOB!!!! I love to hear some good trumpet playing thx for gratifying my hears.

    Harry Rios

  • that's the sound of the real latin trumpet player and that's what we the latin trumpets have, a bright sound

    congratulations Jorge

  • That room is horrible to play in. UCF desperately needs a real performing arts center.

  • dddaaannnnng... that dudes good. ive been playng since 5th grade and i cant play "that" well... mann nice job

  • wherever it was the place was horrible for a band to play at the sound reflects too much. Especially for trumpet. and btw u own me in trumpet :p
