Did u have any problem with the e-clip breaking?? My broke after 800 rd. Any advice on this now "big issue"? It's seem like alot of 522 owner are having this issue.
Hello - great reviews. I just subed. I am looking for my 1st rifle purchase & I am in a wheelchair. I checked out this 522 & loved it.The price plus the add ons is a little steep for now but the fact it folds & the disassembly for ease of maintainence might just override the costs. I'm looking at optics, extra mags, carrying case/rifle bag. the 10/22 is my first choice but with the Choate folding stock at $99.00, extra mags, rifle bag - well it adds up also. decisions. Thx. Sincerely, JAMES.
super90girl - They are for adjusting how the three position stock functions. I leave it fully extended so I haven't played around with them. Do a google search for "Sig 522 extra parts" and you will find some posts explaining how to use them.
Regarding your worry about the single clip for the spring... I'm sure they have done significant testing and if it was a problem, it would have been changed. Just like hollow or plastic recoil spring guide rods in pistols. Not a criticism by any means from me, just another thought on it :) Good video series. ::thumbs up::
Very good review of this gun. I also own one and i love it. My only critique of your field strip is that you locked the bolt back before you took it apart. That could be very dangerous because now the bolt is under tension. Not a huge deal with a 22 but it's not very safe.Just something to warn people of. Again though, thanks for doing such a complete review.
CuffsNewYork - Your right...In my haste to get it done, I didn't release the bolt. Actually, if there was a camera on my face when the bolt sort of popped out a little, it surprised me. Normally I don't lock it back...
You sound like a fly fishin buddy of mine named Dr. Mike. Could this be you?
